Gardens

The Garvan Woodland Gardens is a botanical garden located just outside of the town of Fayetteville, Arkansas. The gardens are renowned for their well-manicured grounds, with a fantastic variety of plants, trees, and wildflowers. The gardens are closed on January and Thanksgiving and Christmas days, but they are still a great place to visit any time of year.

We were lucky enough to hit the gardens while the tulips were in full bloom. Really nice enjoyable time. Fair $15 adult entry fee. These gardens give you tons of freedom to roam about walk across waterfalls get off the main paths on stepping Stones closer to nature. Truly enjoyed the freedom these gardens give for roaming. Excellent garden area for children also. If you are a senior or have any immobility that keep you from getting around you can also request a golf cart tour to get around easier. I think the golf cart tours are included with admission but I am not 100% certain on this.

This is probably one of my favorite botanic gardens I've visited in a long time. A few key highlights was the Anthony Chapel, the tree house and a few of the overlooks. I love that it isn't just one path, there's multiple sub paths you can take through the gardens, like stepping stones. We had no problems finding parking and we went during the afternoon on a weekday, might be different for other times like the morning. I believe the chapel is free if you walk in the entrance to the East but the actual gardens is like $20. Great place to spend the day, views, peace and some fun!!!

This is a spectacular botanical garden incorporating multiple styles like Japanese, European and contemporary landscaping styles. The garden is designed by the University of Arkansas school of architecture and it's quite impressive how the architects weaved so many elements together like winding paths, bridges, ponds, arbors, treehouse, rock garden and the lake into a fluid tapestry. The tree house and rock garden definitely are a must see if you have kids. Highly recommended for families!

Arun Arasan — Google review

My favorite adventure of our vacation! It was pretty hot the day we were there but there is a lot of shade and a breeze made things way better. A very nice long walk through nature without the drastic elevation changes. Beautiful gardens and architecture. Highly recommend and I will go back.

Clark McNulty — Google review

LOVED visiting this garden! We enjoyed meeting George the Peaco*ck and his trainer letting us feed him. The chapel was even more stunning in person. The walking trails were beautiful and very well maintained.

Molly Timothy — Google review

I took the golf cart tour with my grandma & had a great time! Our guide was very knowledgeable, skilled at navigating around large crowds, & patient when we wanted to stop and take pictures. Beautiful place! We loved the cafe too.

Jessie — Google review

This is place is absolutely beautiful!! My girlfriend and I made a Saturday trip in early spring to see this place and it was absolutely worth the cost of admission and the drive time. It's fields and fields of gorgeous flowers of all colors and species. They have a giant artistic tree house for the kids and kids at heart to enjoy with a waterfall and creek framing it in... one of the most breathtaking cathedrals I've seen with roof to sky windows... and a Japanese cherry tree garden with a small waterfall backdrop that looks straight out of a painting.

Beau Branscum — Google review

This is a beautiful garden which for you to enjoy. Cost is $20 per person, and $5 for a dog to tour the grounds. You will see everything from a structured treehouse, waterfall, a creek, and even a small cave behind the waterfall that you can crawl through if you're physically able. The walking trails are wide easy accessible some of which are gravel some of which are rock. You may even experience or see some multiple creatures that live in the area. The restrooms are clean the gift shop is nice and well taken care of and this place even offers a grill for your dining pleasure.During the Christmas time of year many decorations are placed throughout the garden which could be viewed as they are illuminated and help to bring the garden to life. It's a wonderful place to simply spend time with friends and family, to take a stroll enjoy nature and get some of that much needed exercise your doctor keeps telling you about.Take time to visit the gardens enjoy your day and take your time walking along the trails and experiencing the wonders of nature and what Arkansas has to offer.

Hot Wired — Google review

Even if you are not a regular allergy sufferer be sure to at least have allergy stuff with you. We don't normally don't suffer from allergies but my whole family felt it when we went. Other than that this park is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend coming here!!! Everywhere you looked there were sights to see. So many waterfalls, just stunning. Definitely a good place to take family photos or senior portraits, so be sure to dress nice. I wish we could have stayed longer and took in more of the breathtaking views!

Katie Henderson — Google review

The cucumber sandwich was super yummy. Beautiful stroll. There is so much to look at and explore. If you go early, be sure to visit the chapel before it gets crowded. The resident peaco*cks will take food from your hand. Very peaceful.

Stephanie Shiers — Google review

Beautiful garden, very well maintained. One of the must see places to visit in Hotsprings. There are many walking tracks and gardens to cover, so plan to stay here for the whole day and enjoy outdoors at this place. Meet and greet the adorable Peaco*ck George. He will surely steal your hearts. They have lots of Japanese Maple trees, so we are pla ningi to visit again during fall season. They already started setting up the holidays. Hearty that there will be 2 million plus lights in action for Christmas. It will be a good idea to sign up for new letter, when you can get regular updates all year round. Buy tickets online to avail a discount of $5 per ticket.

Satyam Valluru — Google review

Me and my wife visited Garvan Woodland Gardens as our first trip on our honeymoon. We enjoyed every second of the expertly manicured park. The architectural craftsmanship of the man made exhibits is quite breathtaking. If you enjoy nature and architecture do not pass this up on your next trip to Hot Springs!

Grady A. — Google review

This place was awesome and much larger than expected. Give at least a half day to explore if not a full day. I only wish they opened earlier. 10am is late. Other than that, beautiful place, they are getting Christmas lights ready so seeing the stuff lying around and plastic poles everywhere kinda ruins the view a little bit but wouldn’t deduct more than a star for that because I’m sure it’s going to be beautiful when done. Also a great idea when weather cools down and plants aren’t thriving as much. The lights add the vibrant colors missing when weather doesn’t allow the vibrant flowers. Also love that it’s dog friendly. The chapel is also a great touch, just a short walk and absolutely stunning architecture. Wife already has plans for renewing our vows here.

Joel Collishaw — Google review

Beautiful gardens! We stopped by here on our visit to Hot Springs National Park and spent about 2.5 hours walking around! There were lots of different decorations up for Christmas time. We liked the trail that goes up to the lake. The treehouse and tower were also cool to look at! The only sad part was the chapel was closed when we went due to an event. The gift shop was cute with friendly staff too!

Alexandra Nusawardhana — Google review

Great place for family hikes. Especially good for amateur hikers as the trails are well kept.Staff- staff members were excellent and seemed to thoroughly enjoy conversing with visitors and helping out.Kids- Great for kids. Trails are well kept or paved. Map especially helped keep us on track to see the path to the next spot we wanted to see. Kids enjoyed playing the nature bingo and everything on the list! It was a great way to keep them engaged and concentrated on the hot July walks.Trails- we opted for the non-paved trails which tended to be shadier for the hot day. Did not get to complete all trails. The only trail we missed was the long one set away from the main area.Price- if you do not plan to spend a lot of time here, then I could see where the price is steep. If you plan to spend most of your day here hiking and seeing all the sights then the price is fair to have safe and well kept trails for the whole family.Sights- the gardens are beautiful, even in the heat of the summer. I could see that it would be even better at other times of the year. The chapel in the woods is a must see (especially to grab some AC in the heat). My favorite sight was the amphitheater which doesn’t seem to get many visitors, but it looked like a fairy tale spot with miss covered areas. The treehouse area was a great spot for everyone. We saw 2 snakes on our journey which was great for the kids.Plan to spend a full day here and bring walking shoes and I think you will be impressed!

Kyle Melancon — Google review

LOVED IT. It was so magical and beautiful. To enter the gardens, the admission is 25$ but we are cheap and walked around the front grounds and over by the Chapel. So beautiful. 💯

Christina Currie — Google review

Beautiful gardens to walk. All the workers/volunteers are super sweet. We spent all day wondering around and exploring. Worth every penny. They have little nature Bingo for kids and offer a military discount if you purchase tickets at the entrance.

jenna Williamson — Google review

Nice place to take a stroll, downside is it's cheaper to buy tickets online. It's $20 per adult if bought online (no convenience fee) vs. $25 at the gate. Military service members and Vets. can get the same discount right at the gate. We spent about an hour, saw a few cool structures and plants. There's an option for touring via electric cart for those who don't or can't walk for too long.

Luis Duckworth — Google review

Buy tickets online. It will save you some money. It is a nice big garden. Your ticket will work for the whole day, can re-enter throughout the day. The staff is nice and knowledgeable. The tree house is not worth 2 million dollars. It's a neat design, but not at the price tag. The children's garden is nice with all the rocks and a waterfall. The mini train wasn't on when we were there so it was a bit disappointing for the kids. Our whole family had fun there though. There's a cafe in the garden, however we didn't try it. Plenty of parking spaces, easy in and out.

Museums

The Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary is a venue that offers exhibits featuring animatronic dinosaurs and an 1880s prairie village, as well as nature trails and gardens. Visitors can enjoy interactive activities or explore the different trails offered in the sanctuary. The museum also boasts a collection of live animals such as lemurs and raccoons, making it an ideal destination for families with kids who are interested in wildlife.

Lemurs, and Racoons, and Dinosaurs, Oh my!My family and I had a great day at this museum and wildlife sanctuary. It offered lots of hands-on interactive activities to keep my son interested, and a lot of reading material to help us learn about everything we were seeing. My son absolutely loves dinosaurs, we were so happy to see that they have an awesome dinosaur trail where each dinosaur along the trail actually moves and make sounds. It was pretty fun to guess what dinosaur we would see next while walking the trail. If you have time, they also have a variety of other trails you can walk as well. The Lemurs were lots of fun to watch.I highly recommend checking it out for yourself. Great for all ages.

Wow! I’m so impressed with this beautiful place! They have amazing trails, animals, dinosaurs, fossils, lakes, and ponds. It’s definitely worth the money and I recommend it to anyone and everyone. We also saw 2 wild deer walk along the trails. This sighting really enhanced the quality of our visit.

Izz — Google review

We love this awesome science museum!!! 😍I, 1st went on a field trip with my daughter last year!!! This time we had a fun field trip of our own!Enjoyed the butterflies 🦋, hiking, sightseeing, animals, beautiful outdoors!!! Love that it’s a little hidden treasure! Our kids also love the little play houses! The indoor museum had so many natural collections so awesome to see!!!Will definitely come back and enjoyed every minute!HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Stacey Burns — Google review

We had so much fun! But I didn't realize that they had the Dinosaur exhibit closed half the year. Luckily there is a lot of other fun stuff to do. The kids had a blast and so did the adults! I'd take a membership!

Angela Fipps — Google review

We weren’t impressed. We were told it was stroller friendly but got about halfway through the trail and had to turn around and CARRY my stroller and infant back up the trail. It is not stroller friendly. It was also overgrown with trash and weeds and wasp nests everywhere. I planned on buying the annual family membership but unfortunately, we won’t be back.

Lindsey Smith — Google review

These majestic creatures can be spotted at unexpected places (esp. when The Heard is not crowded), it's a delightful surprise to see Bambi and friends!!!Wished the Butterfly exhibit was open, but it wasn't at this time...🦋Nevertheless, family will definitely come back and visit more often now that it's spring. It's best to get the annual membership to gain access again and again without paying for the museum fees each time.

Lifestyle Coach — Google review

Great for adventure! If you have small kids, I’d recommend good walking shoes for them sunscreen and water. It’s a very good place to go hiking. If that’s what you’re into you see nature and just the smell out there. It’s just pure amazing. It’s hard to find places that have that amount of greenery nowadays so it honestly was a breath of fresh air

B Runewicz — Google review

Heard is a great place to hike. There are a lot of kids activities but great if you don't have kids too. The trails have never been overly crowded when I've been. It's really a nice place to get a little nature in the city.

Kristin Whitaker — Google review

Love hiking on the trails with the family. The dinosaurs are okay, but the kids enjoy spotting deer more, which there are a few. Found 9 on the last visit and got to see the large Sycamore tree for the first time. Recommend giving it a shot.

Sam Harrison — Google review

Fun outing - even the free areas as you approach the building. The group of taxidermy animals inside the entrance is nice. Consider bringing a drink if it’s hot and you are walking on trails.

C S — Google review

Bring your bug spray, sun screen, hiking boots, hat, binoculars and canteen. Explore the hiking trails. Enjoy this gem! Picnic under the trees. No trash left behind. :)Note: If your little one is in a stroller, be prepared for a lot of downhill/uphill and that some of the trails will not be accessible.

L C — Google review

Very nice outdoor museum. Recommend to wear a good hiking shoes and doesn’t come here when it’s a raining day. All moving dinosaurs are outdoor. A small indoor Dino dig sand pit is cute for little kids. Overall, it’s a good museum for young kids.

Shirley Lin — Google review

We have been here numerous times. We usually go when they have the dinosaurs. This place has a lot of hands-on/interactive things to do. They have a series of mini houses the kids can go in, and the dinosaurs are awesome. We will definitely visit again. This is a great place to take the kiddos!

Julie Ferguson — Google review

Lots to see. Great walking trails and several to choose from. Animal viewing areas, inside and outside. Dinosaur 🦖🦕 walking trail with dinosaurs along the way. Planning on returning to see the butterfly garden when it's in season. Picnic areas, amphitheater, park benches along the trails and a canoe rental for the water areas. There is a gift shop, classrooms and a lot of land to cover.

Kathy McCord — Google review

This ATSC member museum has a small but jam packed collection. There were rooms with plesiosaur and mosasaur fossils, shell collections, snakes, screech owls, and more. Outside the indoor museum is a large wildlife preserve (nearly 300 acres) with wetlands, prairies, and forests. Through these lands are several miles of trails. We walked the Bluestem Trail (0.5 mile one way) to the Wood Duck Trail (0.9 mile loop). On the Wood Duck Trail, we were able to walk out onto the wetlands on a boardwalk where we found a covered bench to sit on and watch the ducks in the distance. Behind us was a log with a number of turtles sunning themselves. We continued along the trail along some a prairie until we came back to the beginning. Just before rejoining the Bluestem Trail, there is a pond called the Bullfrog Pond where we took some more pictures.

Michael Chu — Google review

We came during the fall and it was beautiful. It was great weather to be outdoors but would not recommend during hot Texas summer. The young lady who did our animal group presentation wasn't that great. Very bland and seemed kind of moody. Also seemed like she had no experience around kids. She wouldn't even let the kids pet the animals. Where as other employees had done the opposite. We enjoyed the fossils inside and dino walk was pretty fun. Rating one less star because some of the animals seemed unhappy in their enclosures and did not enjoy seeing a jar full of dead turtles.

earthzen — Google review

Wonderful place, well organised and friendly staff. So much to see and to learn. From stories to shells and animals, including now the various dinosaurs outdoors as well as bones and skeletons in door.Very nice walks; trails of various length.Great to see!

Doubleyou MC — Google review

We hosted a birthday party here over the weekend. The party was a hit. Everyone liked the party hall. We opted for the 65 capacity Laughlin Hall. The trails, museum and geoglobe room and 2 selected animals Petting for the birthday party group were all included. We spent 3plus hours. The room was for 2 hrs. We could decorate and bring in our own food.

Its picturesque streets lined with historic buildings, quaint shops, and delightful eateries exude small-town charm. The vibrant atmosphere, coupled with friendly locals, makes every visit a delightful experience. Whether you're exploring the shops, enjoying a meal at one of the many restaurants, or simply soaking in the ambiance, Historic Downtown McKinney never disappoints. Definitely worthy of 5 stars!

James Hernandez — Google review

I love visiting Downtown McKinney! The area is very walkable and has the feel of a small town square within a large city. Beautiful historic buildings, several excellent restaurants, antique stores, clothing boutiques, and other unique small businesses. Historic Downtown is built around the courthouse and hosts several festivals throughout the year. Music festivals in the summer, Oktoberfest, and Christmas celebrations to name a few. Parking is a challenge, but there are garages. Lovely way to spend an afternoon/evening in McKinney!

Alyssa Dequeant — Google review

Historic Downtown McKinney has lots of places to eat and shop. Parking can become busy on heavy weekends and evenings, but everything is walkable.

Alan Billman — Google review

Went to go walk around and enjoy the atmosphere as I frequently do. Have been coming here for years, shopping is excellent and like an outdoor mall with several options, price points and styles also lots of amazing restaurants

Luca Faro — Google review

Awesome town!!! Antique shops,.restaurants, boutiques, high end furniture, candy store and even a comic book store! We happened to visit at the beginning of a festival so the town was all dressed up and super cool. Very clean and awesome people everwhere! Great for walking around and parking was plenty. Planning on moving to Texas soon and cant wait to go back!! Lucky us a food truck was open and we ate the most delicious funnel cake - yum!!

Downtown McKinney is a fun place to spend the day especially when there is a festival. Lots of restaurants, bars, shops, boutiques, and activities for all ages. Parking can be a challenge during busy times, but you can always park a couple of blocks away and walk.

I love this place so much. If you are looking for character and quirk this is your place. They host incredible events. The shops are nicely curated but expensive. There are reasonable places to eat and lots of fun things to do and see. You could hunt for fairy doors or try to see all of the murals or take an art class! This is a great place to visit.

Such a cute, homey downtown area!! The small businesses and shops have unique trinkets, delicious coffee/treats, and great gifts. They do a lot of family friendly/neighborhood events in the square and I absolutely LOVE their winter decor. I call it the little Christmas town! It is worth a visit and it’s an enjoyable square that you’re sure to find something you like!

Katlynn Nguyen — Google review

We had a great time in HDM, we went to many shops including the Comedy Arena and the co*cktail Creamery. I would absolutely recommend this scene to everyone.

Badger (J.D.) — Google review

I absolutely LOVE this place. This was my first time to visit the historic town and it did not disappoint!!! The shops were cute and filled with treasures. I went especially to visit the antique stores. I was not disappointed. The Antique Company Mall was amazing. I love how almost all the stores had antique wood flooring that creaked. Next time I go I want to try an eatery. There is lots of free 3 hour parking stalls that line the streets.

Amazing experience! Took family for Surprise birthday gift for husband and he was definitely surprised and had a great time! We will definitely be back for more. The crew at Skydive Spaceland makes the experience not stressful and they are fun, it is all about having fun! They are the Best! Plane is larger than others so you can get a group and jump w your instructors in addition so fun as group to go or if you have kids they can jump w you as we did. Ensure you get video and allow them to video you or your kids as you go, tons of great picts and video is amazing! Thank you so much for everything!

Kerry Wallace — Google review

This was a great 1st time experience.I felt very welcomed and safe. I was guided through the whole process and had an excellent instructor David & Ruth. He was professional and well experienced. I can’t wait to sky dive again. I even bough another jump before I left. I highly recommend everyone to sky dive and at this place specifically in Texas.

Tony B — Google review

Everyone was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Great instructors that made everyone feel comfortable on our first jump. The staff made sure everything was covered multiple times. They told us that the one negative thing they hear over and over again is, "I wish I had got the video." I can tell you this is 100% true! 2 of my friends got the video package and I did not. I can't tell you how many times I have watched their videos and wished that I had got my own. On my next jump, I will definitely spring for the video package. My tandem instructor was amazing, he explained everything, never made a move without telling me what he was doing first, and made sure I knew what to expect every step of the way.5 of us went together, 4 first timers, and we all signed up for another jump already.I wish the facility was closer to me, but after looking at reviews and talking to other people it's clear that this is worth the drive. There may be some closer, but this facility is hands down the best.

valerie covey — Google review

Can’t recommend this place enough! They were awesome, especially for a first timer like me. They gave thorough instruction and insight before we even boarded the plane. I had Daniel as my tandem instructor and Josh as my videographer - they were both such cool guys. The whole staff is friendly and outgoing, they make you feel at home. Definitely add skydiving to your bucket list, it’s unlike anything else you can do in this life! Totally worth the thrill and adventure. Thank you Spaceland!

Rhapsody Kilgore — Google review

My first skydive EVER was here a weekend ago! I came here as a friend is currently getting his license and had been asking a few of us to come join him on a weekend. We did and it was the best decision ever. I got the Pro video package ($179 additionally), and while pricey, it is so worth it. Another friend got the ($129 Selfie package) and while it was cute, the quality of the images doesn’t compare to the Pro. The Pro is when another skydiver jumps out the plane at the same as you, but has a GoPro attached to their head. They do a full video montage of the before, during, and after. While the video was cute (it was my first skydive) the pictures on the Go Pro are what really stood out. It was my first skydive and I ended up buying another jump at the end. My instructor, Matthew, was incredibly sweet and super fun!!! So worth it. If you’re on the fence ( the $$$ made me wait a while), definitely go, it’s so worth it.

Divya Bachina — Google review

This was our first time skydiving and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The staff is friendly, well experienced, and professional! Solomon, who made it fun and easy with his friendly personality made it super fun as well! From the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave they make sure you enjoy the whole experience! Good vibes all around.

We took my oldest son for his first sky dive here! This place was recommend by Kimberly who works their mutual friends! We had such an amazing day and my son loved his jump! Highly recommended for first time jumpers and returning jumpers. This was a birthday gift and don’t forget to get the video and pictures!

Christina Marie — Google review

This was THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! We’ve already purchased our next jump and I can’t wait to go back. Everyone there was so great. I definitely recommend purchasing the pictures and video combo. You won’t regret it. My family and friends have enjoyed watching the video and seeing all of the amazing shots the photographer was able to capture while skydiving!

This was the BEST experience! Daniel and Fernanda were amazing. Daniel calmed my nerves and made me feel better about the jump. I was feeling very overwhelmed and he helped tremendously. Fernanda caught the whole experience on camera and I got to say, it was beautiful. 1000% recommend this place. Very professional and very great group of people.

I recently had my first skydiving experience at Skydive Spaceland Dallas with my friends, and it was nothing short of exhilarating! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a team of professional and amazing jump instructors who put our nerves at ease. The jump itself was an adrenaline rush like no other. The feeling of freefalling through the sky, with the wind rushing past and the breathtaking view below, was absolutely exhilarating. It's an indescribable thrill that left us all in awe.The facility itself was top-notch, with a focus on our safety that was reassuring. The staff made sure we were well-prepared and comfortable every step of the way, which added to the overall fantastic experience.I can't recommend this Skydive Spaceland enough. If you're looking for an unforgettable adventure, with a team of professionals who make you feel safe and an experience that's truly exhilarating, this is the place to go. My friends and I will definitely be returning for more jumps in the future!

Such a fun experience! I was excited and there were moments where I got really nervous! Billy and Brandon are such a FUN duo & they each did such a great job of just being so calm, playful, and engaged in a way that made me feel at ease, safe, and comfortable. Brandon has done over 3000 jumps and just his demeanor made me feel assured that he knew what he was doing and that I would be fine (which I was!)! Thank you for such a great experience. I don't know yet if I'll be doing it again anytime soon, but wouldn't want to do it with any one else!

Wow! What a phenomenal experience- it checked all the boxes- a thrilling adventure! Skydive Spaceland Dallas is the place to go! Jo Jo is a stellar instructor and he spent a lot of time preparing me for what to expect. He was so enthusiastic- he really has a passion for skydiving and thoroughly enjoys introducing it to first-timers, such as myself. Moreover, he focuses on safety, which made me feel relaxed, confident, and comfortable. Juancho, another wonderful team member, captured some terrific pictures and video. He made the experience a lot of fun, as well. Together, they made it a very memorable day! Of course, I wasn’t about to leave without purchasing a second jump. Exhilarating. Can’t wait to return next week!

What better way to face my lifelong fear of heights than by skydiving at Skydive Spaceland Dallas. The introduction by Linda and training by David made it easy and not at all frightening! My first jump was such a fun and wonderful experience, I immediately did a second. The video by Camilo was so incredible I shared it with everyone I know. Totally worth it!Can't wait to do my third jump at Skydive Spaceland with my granddaughter-in-law later this Spring!

Amazing experience!! Josh was the best person to trust my life with. Thank you!!!! Dallas has so many options for skydiving however nothing can top the customer service and professionalism from space land. Josh was not just attentive to every detail but calm and relaxed from take off to landing. Everyone from the front desk to the coffee shop provided 10 star experience. Please tip your instructors they deserve every penny and some. Thank you Sky Dive Spaceland.

This was my first time skydiving and it was AMAZING. When I got there I wasn’t 100% sure what to expect but they told me all about how it’s going to be, common misconceptions, and made me very excited to jump. My instructor, Camilo, was super friendly, fun, and matched my energy very well. I had a videographer, Josh, as well as I wanted to capture my first jump forever. He was also super cool and made my time very enjoyable with the interviews and pictures and they both had very excited, this is going to be very fun type of demeanors and that really makes you feel a lot better and less worried about everything as well. Everything also felt very safe as they triple check your harness and go over everything that you have to do and they handle most of the main parts. The jump itself was also awesome. I could feel that Camilo had done this a million times and he had me so I could just enjoy the fall and making a fun video with Josh. The parachute did not hurt to open or anything and was actually more fun than I thought it would be. Actually learning how to control a parachute was cool and we did little turns and stuff that I enjoyed. The landing was also smoother than I imagined and was super light and easy. Overall I plan to do this again and I would suggest anyone reading this to go do it yourself as it’s an exciting, fun, super unique experience that you won’t get anywhere else. And shoutout Camilo and Josh for giving me a super fun time.

I didn't think I would enjoy this museum quite as much as I did. There is a lot to read. If you read every placard as I tend to, you can spend 2 hours here. There are three sections: Regional history, the cotton industry and 20th century wars, especially WWII and the incredible story of Audi Murphy. I really learned a lot.

Michael Miller — Google review

What a great experience to visit the Audie Murphy, American cotton Museum in March 2024. The lady was very kind. She told me I want to find him where in the museum and walking through. It was a wonderful experience. I learned so much and about great Texans From Hunt county, famous Americans who did great things it’s always nice to learn more about fellow Texans. And the American Holler heroes is just an incredible site and I would highly encourage anyone interested in World War II or American military to make a trip out there and spend some time looking at the collection of military rifles and everything else military , of course this is Audie Murphy’s museum and his personal items there. He won’t see them anywhere else so make the trip and God bless Audie Murphy for what he did and we enjoy watching his movie still there’s that too. !

Paula Dodd Barnes — Google review

This place is awesome. The story of Audie Murphy is one of the great American success stories. From extreme poverty to the heights of success. The most decorated man in world war two, movie star, author and song writer. Yet he never forgot his roots. This museum tells it all.

Moving on with Old Man River Old man river — Google review

My son and I were practically the only visitors at the time, and we didn't feel rushed or crowded. As for the museum itself, it was surprisingly larger than I expected, and was very interesting. The Hall of Heroes experience was both sobering and informative, but even the other sections (cotton/Texas history) were interesting in their own right.Overall, I'm glad we made the drive up from Houston to see it.

david b. — Google review

Watched the total eclipse here 4/8/24. Great location to do this. Enjoyed the history museum and memorial to a great American hero. Staff were all very kind and helpful. Great experience all around.

David Johnson — Google review

Pretty awesome museum. Every station has a small read , articles. Lots of history is given and how people lived during the depression and the sacrifices given. Pretty neat how so much was collected and put on display for us!

momo morris — Google review

Audience Murphy is one of my favorite actors, who made western films and combat films. He was the MOST decorated war hero in WWII of anybody. He also wrote. 17 number one hit songs with many known singers singing them, including Charlie Pride and Cole Porter. The museum is really done up nicely. With exhibits of many of his war scenes. And letters to and from his family describing the horrible conditions of the war front, AND his family's contributions back in the states. There are exhibits of cotton and the cotton gin also . For the price, it is really worth your time. There is a 1906 Cadillac on display also.

Dale Frank — Google review

My husband is a military vet and wanted to visit this museum. This is a neat little museum!

Autumn Waters — Google review

This is a gem of a museum. It's located on a nice property off the I-30 frontage road in Greenville TX. It's not a huge museum but the space is utilized very well so there is a lot in there. It contains a comprehensive Greenville history that includes everyone from the indigenous people to important citizens from all cultural groups. There is a comprehensive display representing the cotton industry. There are dioramas illustrating "Mainstreet" and war. These are very well done. There is a section dedicated to Audie, WWII, military history in general and local veterans. You can watch a short film about Audie.Outside are some buildings, two of which are originals and one replica. When staffed, you can go inside. At the entrance is a beautiful sculpture of Audie and a memorial to Veterans. There is a small giftshop with reasonable priced items and a nice selection of books, mostly history. You can purchase Audi's autobiography, To He'll and Back which I'm enjoying. (no Kindle version so buy it here instead of Amazon). I bought a sweet doll made from a quilt for just $10.Entry is $6 but separate pricing for Veterans (not sure what). Plenty of parking and wheelchair accessible. Plenty of places to sit and contemplate both inside and out.SHOUT OUT FOR HELP: There are two miniatures in the cotton exhibit that need work from someone with knowledge of miniature gears and pulleys. If you can help, please contact the museum. This is a great place to take school age children though the diorama with shooting may not be appropriate for all.The large map in the military exhibit is particularly educational as it provides a summation of the major WWII battles and a visual of the allegiances of the countries.

This is the 3rd time we have been to this museum in the last 8 years. It's an amazing and well-presented work. Our family has really enjoyed it.

Kristi Minter — Google review

This one scores high ranks on the list of small military museums. The highlight is the statue of Audie out front brandishing the captured MG-42.Inside are a couple full size dioramas and glass enclosed displays including Audies uniform and metal of honor. The gift shop is small but well stocked and $83 got a couple t shirts, artwork, coffee cups and fridge magnets.

The tour Eclectic — Google review

I took my parents to this museum and they loved it. We are huge fans of Audie Murphys western movies. This place has a wonderful display of who he was as an actor and War Hero. It also has a display of other local heroes from the surrounding area of the museum. We learned so much.

Ragenna Avery — Google review

Great Spot to have a weekend visit, you get what you pay for and there's plenty to be seen!

Sean Green — Google review

This place was awesome! Would be best for older kids 8 and up in my opinion. Friendly staff, very informational, and well done!

Candy Fletcher — Google review

It looks like a small museum, but it is packed as full as possible. More Cotton and less Audie Murphy, but this is not the only Audie Murphy museum so they have to share. Gives you a good feel for the time line of our military history and the importance of cotton to America. The museum also covers the town of Greenville'S history including the Texas Giants.

This American version of the famous Paris landmark stands at 65 ft., topped by a cowboy hat.

This was well worth the stop as we drove through town on our way to Arkansas. We stopped for the Eiffel Tower, but didn’t know there was a veteran’s memorial, and it was so honorable. Clean grounds and well kept. This is a free event.

Jennifer — Google review

Don't go with too much expectation in the comparison of France Eiffel tower model. It's nice and good to see the Tower with minimum height. While seeing in the night it was good feel. While we going around 8PM, it was empty and we have free time to spend and enjoy with family. While returning from the Talimena Scenic drive towards Dallas one of the Spot to visit and spend few hours. Nearby Veteran Museum was very beautiful and well maintained. Thanks to the respective department.

Poovalagan Jagadeeswaran — Google review

It was a fun photo op. I can now tell my friends I've been to the Eiffel tower in Paris. What was far more impressive is what sits next to it. The Red River Valley Veterans Memorial. It was an excellent experience in history and personal memories.

Donald Morgan — Google review

Very cool stop if passing thru. Not only the Eiffel Tower is neat, but the Veterans Memorial right here… phenomenal. Take a moment to step outside your life, and into the remembrance of ALL WHO SERVED to give you the life you have.

Meg Ellis — Google review

Nice, little place in the middle of rural Texas. Very quiet. Very well kept. The Veterans Memorial is right beside it, so you have more to see. There's also a basketball court, a little bike track and a trail. Not a place to come from a long drive, unless you're planning to see all the other things to see in Paris. If you do, then it's worth it.

Jose Torres — Google review

The Texas Eiffel Tower is cute and fun. The Veteran's memorial is a beautiful compilation commemorating the sacrifices of our servicemen in all of the wars in our nation's history. The brief summaries are poignant and the lists of local names meaningful.

TimandMary Fischer — Google review

This place is really cool, especially at night. The veterans memorial is right next to it, and that's also worth a stop. This is a must stop road side attraction.

Dani Drugan — Google review

Nice place to visit, if you are close by. Also think about the weather, I went and it was 105° extremely hot and of course not much shadow :) but very cute and next they have a memorial park for veterans..... Beautiful

Jenny V — Google review

Free attraction next to a Veteran's Memorial (also free), and the tower is the iconic symbol of Paris, TX. So if you are going to visit, it's definitely worth a stop and photo op. Kept very clean. Lots of parking (also free). Not a lot of trees, so maybe avoid during the heat of summer mid-day thru mid-afternoon when it is most hot.

Jen Gibs — Google review

The Texas tower was a fun photo op, but the War Memorial next to it was well worth the drive. Take some time to stroll the grounds of this memorial honoring our service members.

James Smith — Google review

The Eiffel Tower isn't the best part of this exhibit. It cool to see the mini version but what I lived most is the Memorial to all of our Veterans from the past wars. I was here years ago when they were just building the memorial. I finally got back to see a somewhat finished product. As long as we have War's they will be taking contributions to add on to it. It is a true Texas tribute to those who have their all.

Patricia Banks — Google review

Not what we expected. Thought there would be more hullabaloo and excitement, themed restaurants, activities. It's actually away from town at the civic center. The veterans memorial was wonderful. Emotional. Thank you for your service and ultimate sacrifice.

Dr. Roe — Google review

What a great place to go, the tower is super cool but you have to check out the war memorial. it will definitely leave an imprint on you

B G — Google review

Very nice veteran memorial park. Eiffel tower was nice shorter than I thought. I would suggest not to come at noon because the sun will be in your face.

Fortuber 267 — Google review

I wanted to go to Paris for fun. The size of the tower was a little disappointing. Definitely don't come here around noon because it is really hard to take a good picture of it at that time. The cowboy hat is cute. The best picture is probably from a drone. The whole area is well taken care of. There are plenty of parking spots.

Jenny Black — Google review

Super cool feature in Paris, Texas. Not as big as the one in France, but bigger than anticipated. Cool photo opp, nice Veteran's Memorial park and event center next door, as well. Easy to find, lots of parking - a must stop for travelers.

Laura Young — Google review

If you’re driving near Paris you should stop by this park. The Eiffel Tower is shorter than expected and still interesting. The Cowboy hat on top is a nice touch!Next door is the Red River Veterans Memorial. This memorial is well thought out. Definitely something everyone should visit. One family’s quote on their monument hit home with me. It says “FREEDOM ISN’T GUARANTEED… IT IS EARNED ONE GENERATION AT A TIME!!!

Lynn — Google review

We had a nice time here. The veterans memorial is outstanding

Julie Bamber — Google review

Beautiful memorial next door honoring our fallen warriors who gave their life for our country, God bless.

JT Byers — Google review

This was such a cool attraction to see. They even have a cute little red cowboy hat on the top! We went at night, where it was lit up. There wasn't a gate or anything blocking the entrance

Brittany Austin — Google review

Heading home from Tyler...had to stop and see..way cool. And the best Veteran Memorial I have ever seen

Brad Halleck — Google review

The tower is a great attraction to visit while in Paris, TX.This attraction brought me and my Dad for the "fun" of the story. The "Memorial Park" it stands next to is one of the best I've seen.As Veterans, the repect and thanks from these memorials, in cities across the country are always appreciated. The names, are each given time and attention as we pay respects as well as reflect on commitments.Visit the tower and pause for a moment to walk through the Memorial.

The Museum is on 4 floors and is very extensive. The model train exhibit is amazing in the intricate detail.

David Burelsmith — Google review

This is a very nice museum with very interesting things if the eighteen hundreds. There are three levels full of history. There is also an adjacent building with an “ho” train. Wonderful for train lovers. The people at the museum are super sweet and great with kids. So happy we visit this museum.

Argeny Hunter — Google review

Amazing stay here. The entire hotel was the most interesting place I've ever stayed with the odfest assortment of things everywhere. It added to the whole creepy atmosphere! Room was very clean, staff was incredible. Easy walking distance to everything.

JL Vester — Google review

The workers are all SO sweet and helpful. The museum is very clean. There are stairs and a small elevator. There is a lot to see, I'd plan about 1.5 to 2 hours to see it all, 1 hr if you rush through it without reading the plaques and examining everything. There are so many handmade clothing items and quilts and food items and historically significant furniture pieces and hand-bound books. I was surprised some items weren't displayed at the Smithsonian because of the significance and age. The train room is a major highlight for children. I have never seen a display so intricate, all made by hand (no touching allowed). The trains run, and there's a tiny kite that blows in the breeze (electricity and wire). The detail is amazing to see. A must-see on a trip through historic Jefferson. The photos I added are less than half of what we saw.

Rae's Rave Reviews — Google review

My husband really enjoys going to museums and learning about the history. My style is more art than history which they had a good mix of at this historical museum. I will say a few displays that had clothing laid out on a bed or chair was a little freaky. They looked almost as if the persons body evaporated on the spot. They did a good job bringing in items that covered the history of Jefferson. Art depicting nursing mothers is important to me, since so many women seem to be pushed away from this natural way of feeding.

Allison Libby-Thesing — Google review

Four floors of Jefferson History, & an art gallery of a prominent citizen. Way more than we expected, not to mention the Railroad train museum right next door. Take an afternoon to fully enjoy this treasure. So glad people saved their families history & donated it to this museum. Very fascinating!

Karen Vander Molen — Google review

Wonderful local history museum. The building is a gem in itself. The docent was so engaging and it was clear she had been a teacher. Such a lovely person and very helpful. The train exhibit is beyond description. It is extremely detailed and extensive.

Dale Anton — Google review

Very nice to place to visit but not a place for kids of younger ages, lots of breakable stuff. There is a lot of history in this one little place and the lady at the desk is very informative of the history of Jefferson. Veterans are free! Definitely a must see if you're in the area!

Barbara Redding — Google review

The mini Railroad was fun. The museum had quite a mix of items. Fun that it was a court upstairs and post office downstairs. It's 4 stories and they do have an elevator for 3 floors, not the basem*nt.

Rochelle Kretchmar — Google review

This museum, housed in the former courthouse, has four levels of absolute treasure! Extraordinary exhibits and art work. So much history of Jefferson and its riverboat history & significance.

One of the best lake tours i have done. $25 per person for 90+ mins is a steal. Do go for this tour if you are there. Captain Ron is very knowledgeable and tells history in details. He is very nice and polite and deals with kids v well.A MUST do. You may or may not see alligators but i was okay with that. Ample of parking in restaurant parking lot and near Capt Rons swamp tour office. Boat was clean and blankets were available for those feeling cold...

We toured with Captain Ron last December 2022 and loved it! We decided to come back in June 2023 to see the summer colors! They were even more awesome and we saw a number of different channels and parts of Lake Caddo. We will definitely go again. It is a one-of-a-kind breathtaking environment.

Joane Pappas White — Google review

Booked the 90 mins Swamp tour at Caddo lake with Captain Ron's Swamp tours. Firstly the booking process was very easy and the prices are very reasonable. Unfortunately a couple of our friends had to cancel at the last moment so I asked if we could get a refund and Jean was happy to issue us a refund without any questions, we really appreciate that. Secondly, we were late by 10-15 but still Ron and Jean accommodated us without any complaints. Once we reached there they welcomed us and quickly took us to the boat and started the tour. Captain Ron started the tour with a warm welcome and because it was windy and chilly he also mentioned they have extra blankets which we can use. He gave us so much information during the entire tour and answered all our questions. The entire ride was very pleasant and informative. I would definitely recommend this.

ANIRUDDHA SUNE — Google review

Cap’n Ron was really nice and funny. He had a lot of info about the lake and seemed to love doing what he does. He went beyond the hour and a half time slot to show us a few extra sights. Would gladly come back again

Great trip! Loved our tour with Uncle Ron's. The lovely business partner in the office was very sweet, loved her accent! Ron gave us a lot of information about the bald cypress trees, spanish moss and wildlife. Nice relaxing ride on clean pontoon boat. Very enjoyable, can't wait to go back!

Barbie Christmas — Google review

Just had a tour with Captain Ron today, and it was absolutely an amazing boat tour (nice and clean boat). Not just “highly recommend” but a “must go” if you ever visit Caddo Lake!!! You’ll enjoy the entire 80-90mins of the lake view as well as learn some kind of history n science. We’ll for sure come back sometime soon, and hopefully alligators and other animals are gonna show up then.

Anita C — Google review

Captian Ron made this super enjoyable! He was very knowledgeable about the area and had such a friendly personality. The cypress trees were so pretty and he kept the ride interesting the whole time telling about the area and history. Very informative. Boat was super clean and roomy. All in all great experience and would do it again! Definitely recommend if you want to do something relaxing!

One of the most unique and wonderful experiences one can ever have. Had a great time with Captain Ron himself and Jean during the tour. Ron is so friendly, engaging and interactive, and I must admire him for his knowledge, and passion for this ecosystem. Definitely recommended.

It was such a relaxing comfortable journey through the Caddo lake. We enjoyed it greatly. Can't wait to experience it once more to see the areas we where not able to travel through last Sunday. Thank you Ron, James and I loved it!

I don’t usually love tours… they can feel gimmicky, canned, crowded… this was the complete opposite. So interesting so cool so remote! 1 hour and 20 minutes tour. Good sightseeing of only 1 kind of tree as shown in the photos. Shoud try one time to know. The tour guide is so nice. He is willing to answer any questions of children. $105 for 2 adults and 2 children.

Fabulous tour! Captain Ron effortlessly and passionately educated us on all things Caddo Lake. I especially enjoyed discovering how the tree knees support these amazing structures and how the cypress sap repels mosquitoes!

My daughter and I took a tour with Captain Ron and it was wonderful. He is so kind, calm, and informative. Saw a lot of beautiful waterways and got a lot of tips on navigating and when and where to see wildlife. Can't wait to go again. This tour lived up to every positive review I read. :)

This Post Office sits on the state line. It is a great photo opportunity to get a photo in two states.

michael H — Google review

We took several family pictures here.Main draw for us was just the state line photo opportunity - we didn't go inside because we went when it was closed. We went on a Sunday morning. It was easy to park and easy to take several pictures. One couple stopped while we were there and we took pictures of each others family. But other than that it was relatively vacant. There was another memorial around the corner (easy walking distance) and across the street; that had Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana State Flags all together. And a neat old church across from the postoffice - St. James Church. I don't know anything about it - but it looked neat from the outside. Also a confed monument when we went over by the church.

So this is a fun find. They give guided tours of the house. Ours had lots of info on the stories & life he live here. The museum part is very good also. There are a few things to visit in area so well worth the trip.

Deb S. — Google review

The tour was very informative. The workers seemed like they enjoyed their job. I actually visited the Clinton Library in Little Rock the day before. There are a few differences in the information being put out. I arrived after the start of the last tour. The park ranger/tour guide gave me a tour anyway. I would recommend visiting. It's free.

Sam McClanahan — Google review

Small gift shop. Many of the displays are placards of President Clinton and his family. We saw the inside of his birth home. The first floor consists of three rooms and no original furniture. The only item from his early childhood is a child's book which I didn't get to see. The Rangers were nice though.

Moving on with Old Man River Old man river — Google review

Don't judge a book by its cover. The visitor centre is tiny, but there is a never better place to learn about the early life of President Clinton. Highly recommend to start with the introductory video followed by an in-depth tour delivered by a ranger. The president lost his biological dad to a car accident and this is how he later inherited the family name Clinton from his step-dad. The care and love he received has determined his character, with an inclusive grandfather in the segregated era, and a hard-working mother. Most of the items in his birthplace house are not the originals, but from the time. I like the number cards which reflect how important his grandmother consider education is.

This was a wonderful national park stop. I did not know much about Clinton’s childhood and learned so much. The house is wonderful done. The Ranger was amazing and gave a great tour of the house!

I decided last minute to stop here on a cross country trip and was so glad I did. I got a private tour of the house since there was no one else visiting and the ranger who led the tour was very knowledgeable and passionate about everything. She made my experience so fun! I spent about an hour here which was a nice break from driving all day.

Emily Daniel — Google review

Great site and the Ranger tour was amazing none of the best I’ve ever been on.

James Carroll — Google review

Gained a lot more appreciation. These park services are amazing. The site needs more funding to match the National Park standards we've come to highly appreciate as of March 2024. The staff made it engaging and meaningful. The visitor center and bathrooms have ramps. There's a fairly big rectangle parking lot for RVs.

Joshua Rutherford — Google review

Surprisingly a lot more fun than I first expected but, you must take a tour with a park ranger. Especially to get a tour of the house the actual childhood home. The visitor center is just a random home adjacent the property. Thank you Ranger Cody, he did an amazing job showing us around and was able to answer all my questions.

Van Wilder — Google review

This place is SMALL. like most suburban he would have more room and yardage. But the tour was amazing!!! Our tour guide was local.to the area, so it was literally listening to someone who grew up in the area during the time the Bill lived here. Absolutely worth the stop just to listen to her. The house is restored to period and if you tmhave a thing for vintage living this is also a great place to peek around at wallpaper, decor, layout, etc. Not really worth a trip on its own, this is a great place to stop on a road trip or if your going to be spending the day in Hope.

June 11, 2017: A small place but packed with information. I visited during the week and there were just a handful of people there but it is located in the town so it was a little confusing for maybe 3 minutes on where to park. The grounds were very well kept, very pretty. The Park staff were very knowledgeable. I walked around the home and grounds. I found it interesting that there were several things dedicated to his mother but not much of anything dedicated to his wife. Maybe because it was his birth home.

I was driving thru on a road trip to Memphis and had to make a stop to see Bill's house. They were closed when we drove thru, but it was worth the stop.

We decided to make a pit stop and so glad we did! America is just awesome! And we were given the tour by Jenny! She was very kind, welcoming and can tell a great story about the family who shared the house together! She told us so well that I even remember the details after we made it back home! Thanks Jenny for spending time with is

We has so much fun here!!! Learning about the different periods they lived through and then getting to dig for crystals and arrowheads. I highly recommend getting the any of the buckets you can choose from! Grandkids had a blast going through their buckets and finding all the goodies in there. And the staff, 2 young men were phenomenal!!! They were so nice and helpful and we really appreciate it.

Amber Sperka — Google review

This is a really cool place to get some lessons about history. Mound complexes with pottery jars, skeletal remains, tools and pipes. There's alot of other things left behind from over 1,000 years ago. In the gift shop you can buy drums, moccasins, bows and arrows, gems, chrystals, arrowheads and other hand made items. You can also dig for gems and arrowheads and keep what you find. Definitely a great place to stop and take a look.

Deborah Lutz — Google review

Cute little museum off the beaten path. Crater of diamonds was too busy so we took a detour and we did not regret it! The staff were nice and welcoming. The kids had fun digging and we had a great time viewing the beautiful gems and rock collection they had.

Vivian Nguyen — Google review

This is a wonderful place to visit to learn about local Native American history. They have some terrific options for finding your own gems or for sifting through buckets where they already include gems, arrowheads, and a tiny diamond. My daughter was so happy to go through a bucket, and the history is fascinating.

David Berkowitz — Google review

We had a nice time here checking out the Indian burial grounds and museum. Only thing I wish we would have picked a cooler day to dig for minerals and arrowheads. They also have a Metal detection area that is neat for find artifacts. The gift shop has lots of neat gifts as well . All and all its a good place to visit if your into natural Indian history

Nolan Dunlap — Google review

It is a fun place to spend time with family. The museum or arrowheads and other historical facts and items were educational. I never knew how many arrowheads there were. The history and details, including regional differences were well researched. The digging was fun. I also liked the history and display of the Indian mounds.

Monique Ramos — Google review

Cool place to visit. $8 unless you make other purchases. Indian burial mounds, small walking trail, different outdoor activities, hunting for artifacts, small museum, gift shop.

Constant Adventure — Google review

Very friendly employees, more than willing to help. Everything was explained in detail, and so much to do! My son and I purchased one of the buckets, and we found plenty of arrowheads, shark teeth, and a small diamond! You can go on a tour, and they even offer metal detectors to find things. This place is definitely worth a visit!

Cameron Haslett — Google review

Went a couple years ago. We definitely look forward to going again. Loved digging for rocks, arrowheads, and pottery. We did buy a bucket for $100 to wash in the sloosh outside. Well worth it. Nice looking arrowheads, shark teeth, different stones, pottery, and fossils. Fun for all ages.

Cheryl Britain — Google review

It's authentic but not super duper built up, I recommend checking it out simply for the enjoyment. The people working here are incredibly kind and talkative. The museum is not extensive but is a quick visit would recommend.

Tyler — Google review

Another find on our way home. This is a great place to learn more about Native American history. The tour is very interesting!!! Great gift shop. Very friendly staff

Christie Freeman — Google review

For the price of admittance, it was pretty cool. There are three main burial mounds areas which you could easily work through in about twenty minutes. It was neat seeing the skeletons! The kids walked through the museum area in about 7 minutes, but they weren't very interested in ancient pottery and tools.I personally had no interest in digging in the dirt or metal detecting after 2.5 days at the diamond mines, so we didn't do that for long.Honestly, the shop was the coolest part, side from seeing the skeletons in the burial mounds. My wife grabbed some cut quartz earrings (much cheaper than diamonds and just as pretty), and the kids got some rock candy and trinkets. They have tons of gems and stones for sale.I really wish we would have come here before the diamond mines so we would have had a better idea of what to look for when we were sifting through all of our material. They have some of the diamonds found from the mine on display.

John Crouthamel — Google review

We stopped here during our Murfreesboro vacation. Very interesting history to learn about and museum to walk through with the historic mounds outside. We spent about an hour searching the field they have. We were able to find some cool things. Tons of tiny crystals and colorful rocks. We were even able to find 6 arrow heads out in the field.Of course we did the Gemstone Adventure. With a medium sized bucket the kids were able to find plenty of polished gemstones and handful of shark teeth. The shop also has tons of treasures to buy before you leave. It was a nice stop for the kids to be able to actually find something searching through the dirt.

Justin Newton — Google review

We had a great time here! The kids got to dig for things and learn a little history!

Mandi Shane — Google review

Awesome museum, awesome guides, incredible atmosphere. The historical mounds are amazing. I loved looking for arrowheads and brought home like couple pounds of rocks.

Pirozhock S Kotom — Google review

Fun experience. Informative plaques around while you explore the mounds and the arrowhead hunting area was a lot of fun. Found a good amount of crystals. Even bought a bucket to take back to Texas. Excited to see what finds I have in there.

Furia Infernalis — Google review

This place has multiple things to do and see. The yearly metal detecting event they throw every year is amazing. You can't beat it! I. A little expensive at $300. But there's not one I've heard of that does as big of prizes.

James Dismang (TheDizz) — Google review

It's a fun little place, probably more fun if you have little kids. My son is 11 and we didn't spend much time here. Most everything in the store is commercialized/made in China type stuff. Lots of fake items...but some neat stuff. The museum was ok, needs to be updated or just cleaned up a little. The guy at the counter was super nice and very knowledgeable. If you're in town I do recommend stopping, just to check it out!

Crater of Diamonds State Park is a distinctive geological attraction situated on more than 37 acres of land. It offers visitors the opportunity to search for diamonds, rocks and minerals in a thrilling treasure hunt experience. The park also boasts a well-maintained campground with access to excellent shower facilities and picturesque walking trails leading to nearby rivers. Although camping fees may be considered expensive at $42 per night, overall, Crater of Diamonds State Park is an enjoyable destination worth visiting again in the future.

Campground is a little pricey at $42 a night but we still had a great time. Shower house was some of the best I’ve seen and there’s nice walking trail to the river nearby. And of course the thrill of the hunt for diamonds! We would stay again

Lauren — Google review

While the allure is to get rich quick, your chances of finding anything other than sweat and a fun time are pretty low. That said, the cost to enter and dig ($10) was reasonable as was the cost to rent the tools ($15 for the full bundle but you can rent a la carte as well - note that a higher deposit is required but then returned).Getting there early is a must to secure a spot at the water trough. Since there is almost no shade anywhere except the pavilions, bring a hat at the very least and a lot of drinking water. Heatstroke can creep up on you very easily because your hands feel cool when they are in the water.

El — Google review

It's was fun and challenging. You got to be there early if you visit during the summer so you'll get some shade. Other than that it is hot and you need to bring a lot of water and some things to give you shade. Also lots of sunscreen. If you are worried about the tools and other stuff you want to use for digging, they got it for rent. So just bring some clothes you are not worried about getting dirty, bring snacks and lots of drinks for hydration.

Salted Caramel Daisy — Google review

This was fun. Everyone was friendly. Staff are very professional. I could bring my dog with me. I camped, and the campground was well kept, and well patrolled. Can't give it 5 stars because, well, it was crowded. I thought coming in the off season would be a quieter experience, but I was wrong! Also, a gigantic family took the campsite next to mine on the second day of my visit (like 3-4 tents full and a floodlight/speaker) and were loud and obnoxious. Also, as another reviewer put it, some visitors are "all in" trying to get rich finding a diamond. I was just here to fiddle around, camp, and maybe find some crystals. I think it would be more fun to bring kiddos here and let them have a big time digging, hiking, and hanging out at the water park. Overall, though, it's a good place. Definitely felt safe.

Melissa Bruner — Google review

This was a cool experience! We did go on a weekend in spring, but decided to go early. We got there when it opened, and saw online that you could rent everything for the day or bring your own items to dig. Dig. Since we were from out of the area, we did rent everything from the state park. Park. The only thing that we brought were gloves, we decided to stop and get gardening gloves ahead of time. I'm kind of glad we did! It was pretty cold that morning, and that really saved our fingers. For checking out the items, they require you to make a larger down payment but then you do get some of it back for returning the items clean. I think we got a bucket, some pans, and then a shovel. That was pretty much all we needed. We decided to head out into one of the farther corners of the designated space. We spent a little over an hour and a half perusing the areas. It was pretty fun to do as a family! We found a variety of different stones, and then when you bring the items back to check them in, they do have somebody sitting at a counter helping you determine what type of gems and stones you find. We didn't find anything worth money, but we did find some neat rocks. Some helpful hints, if you have kids they will get muddy. When we went, it didn't rain for a few days, but both of our preteen kids got full of mud. They were even trying to stay out of the mud and they still got mud all over them. So I would recommend bringing a change of shoes and or clothes along. Probably a good idea to wear older clothes as well. Another good idea would be to bring a bag or something to store your rocks and gems in after you're done digging. Luckily we had a ziploc bag in the car, and we were able to store what we decided to take with us. We didn't think of that ahead of time. Would recommend going early if you can, as we were leaving later, buses of people were arriving. It definitely got busy! They did have a nature center, gift shop, and good size parking lot. The people we encountered were very helpful and friendly.Overall it was a very cool experience and we were glad we did it.

J. Garty — Google review

We didn't stay this time to mine/dig for diamonds, but did enjoy the River trail. It was really nice to see the paved ADA trail for over half the trail. The 2 fitness spots were nice as well. The placards along the trail were some of the best I've seen, and were very informative. Loved the footprint and leaf ones! The river view was nice, but wished there was a dock or pier to go out on. The non-paved part was really nice too, like you're a kid playing in the woods! Wear repellent for sure. Very easy & quick trail. Walked the short wildlife viewing trail as well. Didn't see any wildlife, might be nice to have some feeders for them to draw them in. Was a nice clearly marked trail. The campsites were nature friendly & tucked away, not right on top of each other. The visitor center didn't have much in stock, but was very informative as far as the history of the park and how to know you found a diamond.

Tena Jones — Google review

This is a cool place to bring the family and just have fun. You can rent equipment or bring your own. Digging all day looking for rocks, gems and diamonds. Finders keepers on anything you dig up. Has a water station to sift through the dirt you dig up, places to sit and cool off and stations to refill your water bottles. A cool gift shop plus some info and interactive places to learn more about what you can find. Has a water park to cool of in afterwards.

Deborah Lutz — Google review

Very fun experience. The location was beautiful. The park had very informative information and provided beginner digging tools. Would highly recommend a visit. Gear to bring would include a chart to carry food and refreshments. Boony hats, sun tan lotion, and some type of sun shade covering. Digging equipment would suggest bringing a regular shovel or picking one up on the way.

Justice League — Google review

I really want to rate this 5 stars and brag about it, but it’s not my thing. We saw lots of folks that were “all in” on the concept, likely locals that have easy access to the place and can just visit whenever. It’s essentially a large plowed field - it’s quite a few acres- and you’re just digging/sifting through mud or dirt. There’s no rock (for the most part) to scrape at and find the next big diamond. You’re just sifting through dirt in hopes that you’ll find something.I lost interest after about an hour and really tried to make the most of it. But unless this is your “thing” you won’t likely enjoy it as much as diehards do. It was mind numbing.Saving grace? The staff inside the shop were super duper helpful and friendly. The gift shop had quite a few fun things so that was cool. The staff out back are able to help you identify anything you find, so that’s cool.I have no interest in returning and would be unlikely to recommend this to anyone who approached me specifically about it.

Aaron Barbee (A-A-Ron) — Google review

This was a very interesting and educational visit. While we didn't find any diamonds we still got the thrill of the hunt. My teen kids who normally don't go outside had fun digging and sifting. It would be nice if there was more drinks and snacks but a town isn't too far away and there may be more available during the summer. They post info on finds, last rain, and last plowing. You should do a little walk around and find a place not as well traversed to increase your chances. Overall a fun afternoon of family fun.

Terrance Abbott — Google review

This is a fun place to visit! There was a 7.46 carat Brown diamond found the day we visited! It's amazing that diamonds are continually found and the park is 'Finders keepers'!They have done a great job with this park. There is a museum that tells the history or the park, previous diamonds found, and how they recommend finding them. There is a small souvenir shop too. The park also has a place to rent equipment for diamond hunting. We did use their equipment and it was in great shape for us amateurs. There is also a pool and kids area for warm weather fun! The park is beautiful and God did an amazing job creating this place! This is a great place to bring kids.I will be back to camp, spend more time here, and hunt for diamonds!

Sovereign Living — Google review

We had so much fun. I have plenty of recommendations including a requirement to wear rain boots of some sort. That would be my only issue as I went straight to the mud then went to the dry spot. Also look at images of diamonds in a pile. You really will know if it’s a diamond vs quartz, crystals, or glass. We can’t wait to go back.

Teara Smith — Google review

We were there first week of January. Took two of my grand kids to look for gems. We like to look for stones on the beach, so I thought this would be fun. We didn't find anything but we had fun being there and trying. It was a bit chilly and some parts were muddy, but the sunshine helped. The visitor center is very informative and helpful. We brought are own tools, shovels, rakes and sifters and our chairs. Took a break and had lunch in our car, it was windy and chilly and gave us time to warm up a bit before heading back out.

Nancy Merryman — Google review

A unique park, to say the least. We spent three hours here, mainly digging in the dirt. We found several gemstones and many neat rocks. There's a nice gift shop with very polite employees. You can purchase basic digging supplies (bucket, bag, spade/scoop). There are restrooms here. A splash pad/water area. Trails. A restaurant that was closed by the time we got there. Picnic tables and shaded areas outside the crater. Plenty of parking. It was a tad disappointing that they close down at 4:00 p.m. We had a long drive, and got there later than expected. We would have liked to stay another few hours, but we're pretty happy with what we found in our time there.Well worth visiting! We'll go back again (hopefully much earlier in the day) next time we're in the area. There are several Pokestops and gyms here.

Nathan Flaminio — Google review

Very nicely laid out. Our first time, and didn't have much time so went through with only our hands to dig. Some brought beach wagons, recommended if can. A sturdy small shovel or small garden tools recommended. Some sort of sifting, like a beach perforated bucket. You can rent the tools there. Plenty of rinsing stations in the field (don't rinse rocks at the exit showers, that's a no no) Very informative stations and staff at the entrance pavilion. Nice!

rl dwg — Google review

Very clean and nice park. Five star for the bathrooms in the camp grounds. The most clean and convenient bathrooms from all kind of parks I ever visited so far. I never forget my boy thrown up right away when opened the bathroom door in one of the famous national parks when he was little. Camped two nights and dig one day for diamond there. Though didn’t get luck but had so much fun there. The raccoon 🦝 stolen our whole bag of 🥜 at night and came back the next day to finish the leftover and eat half of our neighbors lunch :-) Will definitely come back again, for diamond and fun!

Edward Zhang — Google review

This is a neat park. The RV park looks nice and clean. The check in for the park is at the visitor center which is not ideal for large rigs due to the tighter turn around you have to do. The diamond mine is cool and is worth doing at least once. They also have a small little water park.Cell reception is horrible for T-mobile. Verizon was fine though.

Jesska86 — Google review

This has been on my bucket list for a number of years. I can now cross it off.We had fun, even though we didn't find anything of consequence.Be sure to wear appropriate clothing, and footwear. Don't forget sunscreen, and a ball cap or visor to keep the sun out of your eyes. You can rent tools from the facility, though I do recommend bringing plastic baggies for your finds.

Julie Fieber — Google review

Enjoyed our visit to the diamond field. For an entrance fee we hunted for diamonds all day, either by looking for them on the surface of the ground or digging then sifting the dirt to expose them. Tools are available the park and in town to rent if you don’t have your own. Unfortunately we didn’t find any diamonds but others did. Rangers are on site to look at and identify the stones you collect. It was fun and relaxing just exploring the field and hunting. Maybe we’ll have better luck on our next visit!

Kevin Wessel — Google review

I usually give out 5 stars like candy, but I was not impressed with this place. I can at least say I did it, but not something I would do again. It’s $12 to be able to dig. You then have to rent equipment if you don’t have your own. I knew this from reading other reviews, but I didn’t realize you don’t get everything back. I rented the basic equipment and it was $60 with $45 refundable. So $27 to try to find a diamond.I see other reviews about not going when it’s too hot, I would also recommend not going when it’s too cold. The ground was wet from rain 3 days ago and my fingers went numb quickly.I just don’t really see the appeal but there were people there who clearly go often, so I recommend trying it and seeing which side you land on.

Steph West — Google review

Such a fun experience digging for diamonds. Our family spent hours and came up with some interesting rocks, lots of quartz, & a peridot. Overall a fun time.We camped there as well and the facilities were great! Wish they had a laundry facility because you do get dirty.

casey baumgart — Google review

I love coming to this park. Even though I still have not found a diamond there is still nice stones and Jasper to collect. It’s a great way to spend the day. The women who work in the shop are incredibly kind. I love that they have an area to wash all the mud off your shoes and tools. The mud here is very sticky. It’s interesting how when dirt changes all over the park. Some has lots of small pretty colored rocks, some looks super volcanic and another section is super white sand. The water stations makes sifting much easier. Big clean bathrooms was nice too.

Michelle Wacker — Google review

Amazing! I went with my family and it was so very fun! If I can, I would love to come back here someday. It is about 15 dollars per person to get in, cheap! Rentals were not too expensive, ot will sound like a lot, but you get most back when you return the tools. But wear clothes you're ok with getting dirty! It's a dirty activity, but very fun.

BC Randle — Google review

A big deep plowed field you can explore for precious stones for a reasonable fee. You can walk, dig, or wet pan sand for a fortune. Bring (unless you want to rent them) a shovel, sifters, chairs, and a cart that can traverse dirt and mud. Pets are welcome on a leash. There are plenty of amenities and the employees are nice. There is a small gift shop, equipment rental, stone identification desk, clean restrooms, and a food truck. It's a good place to bring young kids who love dirt and geology or need to get some energy out. It was 80 degrees and overcast when we went. That's as warm as I could handle digging in the field. There is a water park, but it wasn't open (call if you want to get open information). I highly recommend visiting, it's worth the drive. We even saw a marriage proposal (pics and video).

Paul Goodchild Ph.D., CPA — Google review

People seem to be all in or totally unimpressed. Some people bring the works, wagons, sifters, buckets, pop up tents, shovels, and mine like it's their job. Others bring or rent a few things and give it the old modest effort. We found absolutely nothing of interest. Neat experience, won't repeat.

Jannean Dixon, M.Ed. — Google review

We enjoyed the hike and state park. The hiking path on one side was nicely paved. The way back has an awesome nature trail with great picture opportunities. We took more time on the way back and noticed all the trees, flora, water, etc. The campground and diamond digging experience is something to do at the park.

Monique Ramos — Google review

In my opinion, SKIP IT, it's a complete waste of time and the experience isn't even fun. Just to put it into perspective, between 1972 and 2023, you have a 0.76% chance of finding a diamond, which are generally the size of a pinhole, and only 0.02% chance of one over 1 carat, and this includes all the professional diamond hunters, locals and youtubers who spend countless hours searching. So you would think, I just want to do it for the experience, well that's not fun either, it's a lot of work with likely no reward. Best bet if you must go, go take your pics waste $15 per person, search for a few minutes in the dirt and sun and then go do something more productive with your day. My suggestion is to go an hour away from here to the crystal mines on Mount Ida where you can actually have a fun experience and not leave empty handed.

We paid the $40 per person to go to the phantom mine. Totally worth it. We went with a great group of people. You get 4 hours at the mine it takes about 45 minutes each way to get there which they do take you up to the mind and their trucks. Bring snacks, lunch, drinks and lots of buckets. We went to three lines while visiting the area and I would have to say this was my number one. I will definitely be returning. Friendly staff for sure. It cost a little more than the other ones and you don't get to just stay as long as you want but those are the only things I can think to be a negative.

Brianna Shaffer — Google review

We spent the day with our guide Lance at the Phantom Mine and had the best time! Last summer we visited the Crystal Forest site. The kids had such a good time I knew that we'd be stopping by here again. I wasn't sure if we should step up and pay to go to the Phantom Mine but I'm so glad we did! There were so many crystals to be found here. Lance was helpful and knowledgeable, pointing us in the right direction to find what we were looking for. He also hauled the full buckets of rocks into the truck for anyone who needed it.At the end, all of us were happy with our finds, having found something unique like a large phantom crystal or special because they're large and clear. When we were finished with our two 40 minute drives (in and out) and 4 hours of digging, the kids (7 and 8) were already asking when we could come back.Thank you Wegner Quartz Mine and Lance for a fun day!

Joe Flowers — Google review

This was an amazing place. If you love crystals or playing in the dirt this place is for you. Do the truck trip up the mountain and add extra time when they ask if you think you want to stay longer. The ground up on the site is covered in plenty of sparkling rocks to take home. I found a ton of small clear quartz and some great clusters. The staff are super friendly and even though I don't remember his name, our driver was a cute, bearded guy and was very helpful in telling us where to look. My friend and I just started calling him the hot mountain man🤣. Do the morning trip so you have the guide with you, he has to take a lunch so the middle trip doesn't get to hang out with the expert. The tailings area was not horrible BUT when we do this again we would rather pay for more time on the hill than in the sand pit.

Heather Sharp — Google review

COOL place for rock hounds. People working here are wonderful. Bring a bucket, garden 3 prong tool, water cooler, rock hammer might be useful, hat/sunscreen and bug spray needed. Foam knee pad was very useful and helped on the knees. Little hand towel for wiping sweat off. Also pack a lunch. This place not for those with trouble walking, need good shoes that cover your toes. Rocks are sharp. Crazy people would wear sandels here and i did see that and they had cuts at no fault than their own.

Kim Kostelac — Google review

What special people and special crystals!!! This was the first mine I went to when I got to Mount Ida, Arkansas! It was a good way to begin my geological journey from just simple rock hounding to full on digging for my own crystals. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to try this for the first time. You probably won’t pull the biggest rarest stuff out of here, but you will meet some of the best people out in Arkansas! Charley was my tour guide and he was THE BEST!!! We had an amazing time and I ended up going back for the phantom mines. I would highly recommend this tour if you can get it because you’ll find some special specimen. Can’t wait to come back and dig for moreeee!!!!!

Worth every single penny. My trip to this mine was significant to me and changed how I view quartz for the rest of my life.I spent hours here and I could have spent more! You pay a flat rate and get to keep what you find.If you're hesitant, don't be! Just go and have the time of your life digging quartz directly out of the earth!

What an incredible find! This establishment has all the things you want to see as a rockhound. There is an impressive selection of rock specimens to choose from. The mines have uncovered some impressive treasures. Those and other finds are on sale in the shop at very fair prices. We chose Wegner as a fun girls trip. That was a lucky choice. There are many to choose from in the area, but the employees here, they are kind and they know what they are doing. This is their passion too.Chris was our guide and I can't say enough good things about him. As someone who travels to rockhound, it was refreshing to see someone know how to hunt be able to teach what to look for and have obvious knowledge of the objectives. Because of Chris and his ability to communicate , we found a wonderful vein with gorgeous points. Dude is a crystal locating gangster. You have to do the work, but he knows where to look. Listen to him.We left with a haul of treasure.Becky, at the front is so helpful and knowledgeable... Not just with the rocks, but she made us feel welcomed on the mine and gave us recommendations to eat in town... I'm not gonna lie, I bought more because of Becky. You probably will too.

Brandi Shell — Google review

Doug, our guide took the time to show us the different parts of the mine and where different types of crystals could be found. One area had mostly clear beautiful points. Another area of tailings had great clusters. He was very kind and helpful. I also appreciated that he drove the truck slowly so our crystal’s would all be protected. I’ve been to several mines in Arkansas and it didn’t get better than this. No matter what you do you will leave with many pounds of quartz. The ladies who work in the crystal shop were also very sweet and answered all my questions. I’ll be back!!!

Michelle Wacker — Google review

Drove all the way from Wisconsin and well worth the trip! Bring your own bucket and digging tools. I highly recommend gloves. The staff is fun, helpful and informative. The trip on the back of the truck to the mine is half of the adventure! Two hours was all we needed to fill a five gallon bucket. The shop is packed with great deals on crystals from around the world. Highly recommend it!

Aboslu*tely amazing!!! Went for 2 hour mining. Our first time. Right after a good rain. Found a ton of gorgeous small clear quartz! Great for jewelry! Staff was great! They suggested the Hickory Nut Mountain observation view-- Which was STUNNING!!! 🤩 Highly suggest!! Especially after a good rain!! Great time and fantastic memories!! Photos aren't even ALL of what I got in 2 hours of fun!!

Danielle Melton — Google review

HOW COOL! We found some amazing quartz crystals here. I felt like the price for 2 hours was very reasonable-although I think if you stay out longer you should get a discounted rate. We had a blast, and my son found a GIANT cluster. He's had a blast telling everyone at school about it-I had to send pictures to his teachers. The crystals are plentiful-the second we stepped off the truck I pointed out a large one to my son and he dug it up. There are some very very clear quartz, and some milky. I could easily spend all day here!

Shannon Sedam — Google review

I recommend the 2 hour dig tour. If you don't have the time, they have a decent selection to choose from. I should have asked about all the glass rocks they had on display outside. I might have gotten an interesting story. However, unaware that it was glass prior to my visit, created a type of alure. I was fascinated by their petrified rock collection.

John Beasley — Google review

1st and last time we will be going here. Even though the shop in front was nice, the mining was terrible. It looked like a sandpit for children (as you can see in one of the pictures). Also we were not assisted by anyone or helped at the mine. None of the people in my group found anything worth our time. Its a gimmick to try and save the best for private digs. Maybe, the front desk staff needed to give us more information but they were in their own little world. I recommend going down the road to Avatar mine or Colemans.

earthzen — Google review

The Phantom dig was well worth the price! We brought home bags of crystals plus some really nice clusters. All in our group were happy when we left. Lance was great at helping us fine beautiful crystals. We would definitely do this again!

Joey Kunde — Google review

This was our first time crystal digging and all the employees here made it such a great experience. Everyone was so nice and helpful and had great attitudes! We were very successful at the mines! We got the entire package and did all the activities they had to offer. Some things to know when you're crystal digging...bring gloves, something sturdy to scoop or dig with, a backpack with snacks and water or a lunch if you're digging long, a bucket, hat and sunglasses, and sunscreen! Happy digging!

Lexi Sandoval — Google review

I've been twice and enjoyed each trip. Now part of the experience is the ride getting to the crystals and getting back! So actually you get 2 experiences for the price of 1, crystals and a have a thrill ride all together! Love the school bus!!!! I plan on going again hopefully soon!

Michael Yerby — Google review

Do the Crystal Forest vein it’s littered with big crystals, don’t waste your time with tailings sand box. Take gloves, pick or small shovel & at least 2 buckets a person. Wear thick sturdy shoes for hiking with steep sharp rocky terrain. Wear a fanny pack or backpack for drinking water and putting little crystal points.

Loren Michelle — Google review

First tour of the morning, excellent Guide up the mountain, very hands on dig and crystals everywhere, hudge deposits. Bring digging tools, buckets, bags, gloves, boots, dirty clothes, and some water. One of the best and friendliest dig sites around.

MichelleHardy Music — Google review

This was our first stop on our drive from Michigan to Texas. So much fun. The road up to the mine was, well, rough for Agnes, the 20 year old suv we were in. We were able to get a few tips from a more seasoned digger and once we knew what to look for we were filling our buckets in no time. We could have dug all day it was so much fun. The weather was perfect. Just a great day all around.

Carolyn Weeber — Google review

Ok, let's start with all the things I tried to find out online and couldn't. I drive a 24 ft freightliner sprinter van. It's 9'10" tall. Yes, it fits on the road. It's not great, but the road isn't nearly as bad as we were led to believe. We made it just fine, go very slow. They have 3 tiers of "digs"#1. The regular dig.. piles and pits full of dirt and fun shiny things to find, and you will find them..#2. The commercial dig ...$100 per person... a much smaller pile and a pit of dirt to find fun shiny things in, altho didn't find as many shiny things here as we did in the regular dig previously.#3. A private "pocket dig"... Ranges from $300-$1000. It's not digging like you think it is. You need a pickaxe and a large crowbar to get pretty much anything. You are breaking apart rock and digging open a rock face. We opted for a $300 option, just to get our feet wet. We were given 2 tiny veins of clay, about 15 feet tall and about 1.5-3 inches wide. Your job is to dig that clay and mud out and find crystals. The largest one we found was 3/4 of an inch wide and about 1.5 inches tall. Everything else was the size of a pencil eraser or smaller. We were shown some beautiful pieces at the trailer that could be found in the pocket digs.. Not a chance those came from the place they put us. LolWe got about a third of a bucket of crystals. The ones we dug out were VERY small. And you have to work insanely hard, standing painfully on the rock face to get them. It's not easy folks, not at all. And the reward for us was very disappointing. I read that if you didn't like what you found they made it up to you. They told us this too. When we left they gave us two little crystals about 1.5 inches in diameter. So, I guess?Take away:Do the regular dig. Unless you're in great physical shape and have good climbing skills and fantastic balance, oh, and the right tools, a pocket dig may not be for you. Those videos you see on tik tok and YouTube, are NOT what you're going to experience.I'm sad that we spent $300 to find out that we would have a much nicer haul in the regular area. I feel kinda like we paid for torture. Lol. But we will be back someday, to dig like the regular tourists. Thanks for the adventure guys!

Carol Reed — Google review

We had a great time mining for crystals…. Lots of crystals to be found!! We walked away with a ton… bring lots of water, sunscreen and a lunch… perfect day …. thanks for a great day!

Pamela T — Google review

Best mine I’ve been to yet. The employees were so nice and welcoming and they had the most beautiful crystals. Can’t wait to come back!

James Tew — Google review

This place is awesome! You are guaranteed to find something wonderful. Take what you find for one price. We had 2 adults and an 8 year old - paid $62. Beware - CASH ONLY!! Pics don't do the rocks justice. Found some citrine, smoky quartz, milky quartz, and beautiful quartz crystals. Bring drinking water, a bucket, and a rock hammer if you have one (not necessay tho).

Chanele Villasenor — Google review

We called on Friday and set up a $300 dig on Saturday. They told us to be there at 9am and they'd have our pocket ready for us. That was perfect and we were excited to drive 2hrs to have our own private pocket dig. We get there at 8:50 and they tell us that the dozer operator probably wouldn't be there until 10, but we can pay to dig in the $25 area until he got here and then we can pay the rest of the $300 for our own dig. (Basically paying full price even though we were getting shorted on our time at the pocket) We drove this far and didn't wanna go home empty handed so we stayed. He shows up around 10:30 and proceeds to tell us that he didn't even know that we were coming and apologized for our wait (no prob, we all make mistakes) but then he goes on to say that he doesn't even have the proper license to operate the heavy machinery. Would have been nicer to tell us to try back when they were legal instead of tricking us into the cheaper dig that I definitely wouldn't have made the drive for. When we complained about not getting our money's worth he tells us that he's lost way more in fines over his license issue then we did today. I'm sure it's a cool place w great crystals, but everyone I know and love will not be wasting their money at this place. How long have they been illegally digging?

Rehab Reno — Google review

We had a great time at this crystal mine and will definitely be returning. Next time, we will be bringing an array of tools for mining, gloves and buckets; they don’t provide these things for you so make sure you bring your own. Luckily the proprietor was so nice and lent us some tools! While there is a commercial area for larger rocks, the main section had tons to pick from.

Shabecca Wilson — Google review

We were at the gate at 9am- 9:30am 7/11/23 the gate never opened no one but another customer ever showed up so we went down the Road to Anants and had a wonderful dig there.Came all the way from Illinois for this mine and was very disappointed he never showed up.

Kristina Scott — Google review

Drove 13 hours just to come mine here, and we will DEFINITELY be back. We found so many beautiful crystals! Highly recommend doing the commercial or pocket digs! Bring your own tools, gloves, water, sunscreen, extra buckets, and good shoes/clothes for mining that you don’t mind getting dirty. Call ahead during hotter temps to be sure they’re not closed early for safety. The road getting back there is rocky, so take it slow, and bring a truck or SUV if possible! We made it just fine in our car though. Bobby was so nice and made us feel welcome! Can’t wait to come back!!

Alix Rose — Google review

Been here twice. Nice crystals, but don’t pay for pocket. When we paid $500 for pocket on our second visit - we called in advance, drove hundreds of miles - and not only were they over 30 minutes late to open, the pocket wasn’t ready as promised and we had to wait another 45 minutes. After working our pocket for an hour or so - we were asked to move because they needed to open up another pocket near us. This took another 30 minutes or so, and then we were asked to move a little bit further over by Bobby’s assistant ….Bobby left both times right after opening, so we couldn’t talk to him. Then, at 3:30 we were all told it was time to pack it up…So the 9-4 dig of 6 hours was really only about 3 hours,,,finally - my observation, opening a pocket is ONLY scraping over an already open pocket - that is sold over and over ….

Linda — Google review

We did the $25 dig and had so much fun searching for crystals all day! We will be back!!-This place is cash only.-Bring gloves, buckets, shovels and lots of water.

maggie jo — Google review

Nice place, dug through the tailings for $25. We found some really pretty points and clusters. The lady at the chair was nice, and the cats name is Crystal. I would definitely go again. The drive up was very beautiful, but be careful and watch out for potholes and rocks in the road

Gab — Google review

Best crystal mine - hands down! The crystals are abundant and water clear. The owner, Bobby, has taught me so much and helped me each time I have visited. Whether you are brand new to digging crystals or an experienced collector- this is the place to go to!

Jennifer Nilsen — Google review

We loved this place! It was recommended by a co-worker and we are glad we went. We were a party of 4 adults, 2 teen girls and 2- 12y/o boys. We only brought a couple shovels but still found a lot of crystals. We plan on going back in the fall but will definitely bring more tools. Tips: bring your own tools/buckets, lots of water, snacks, bandaids, cash (they don’t take cards), and make sure to use the restroom before you go (there is only one port-a-potty on site). We just did the $25 pp dig and it was perfect. There is a $100 commercial did but someone said it’s harder work but you can find bigger crystals this way.

Bodies of Water

Lake Ouachita is an immense body of water surrounded by picturesque landscapes, offering opportunities for swimming, boating and fishing. There are also cabins and campgrounds available for visitors who enjoy spending time in natural settings. This lake has become a favorite destination for families who love to camp at state parks, and the park's amenities make it an ideal spot to visit year after year.

Our family lives to camp at state parks. We found this gem and continue to return year after year.

My family loved from camping at Nimrod to Ouachita in 1963. We always camped at Denby Point. Great crappie fishing in the timber towards Shanghai. And great skiing in the open water between the two camp grounds. We camped, fished and skied one week each month of the summer. We caught thousands of crappie. We stopped. Amping in 1972 when my died☹️

David G — Google review

Best lake I’ve been to. Had some good fishing and really fun islands.Anyway here’s some cool lake facts.Did you know…lakes can die?Once formed, lakes do not stay the same. Like people, they go through different life stages—youth, maturity, old age, and death. All lakes are either open or closed. If water leaves a lake by a river or other outlet, it is open. All freshwater lakes are open. If water only leaves a lake by evaporation, the lake is closed. Closed lakes usually become saline (salty). This is because as the water evaporates, it leaves behind solids—mostly salts. The Great Salt Lake, in the U.S. state of Utah, is the largest saline lake in North America. The lowest lake in the world is the Dead Sea, on the edge of Israel and Jordan. The surface level is 418 m below sea level. The highest lake in the world is the crater lake of Ojos del Salado, on the border of Chile and Argentina at 6,390 m above sea level. The deepest lake in the world is Lake Baikal in Siberia, Russia, it is 1,637 m at its deepest point. The longest lake in the world is Lake Tanganyika in Africa at 660 km and it is also the second deepest lake.Anyway 10/10

This place is absolutely amazing. The clearest water I've seen in my life and it's on the top 10 best places to swim on Earth. The first 2 time's I went I rented a boat and got lost both times. Plan on taking my daughter's as soon as possible. 10 out of 10!

Chuck Evil — Google review

It’s a great spot for free camping, it wasn’t crowded at all, with benches/tables/fire pits, and they did have pit toilets, but it was out of TP and didn’t look or smell like it had been maintained frequently. And it’s very buggy with lots of spiders, and my friend saw 2 tranchulas on the road, so you definitely want a tent that’ll keep everything outIf you’re into crystals and minerals, This is a great area to do some rock hunting...Only crazy thing I feel obligated to mention is at around 11pm we heard this CRAZY unnatural noise! Like a Sasquatch howling really close to our tent, repeatedly nonstop for like 5min until we heard a gun go off, then we didn’t hear it again....

Nomadic Adventures — Google review

This is a unique place with all the wooded islands dotting the lake. Camping on one of them during severe thunderstorms was definitely an adventure...

Waterfront lodging with relaxed rooms, plus low-key dining, a seasonal outdoor pool & a hot tub.

Absolutely killer vacation spot. All the staff are super friendly and polite, especially Gina David, Rick and Shanon. Food is spectacular, scenery is even better and the rooms are very clean. There's extremely little trash outside so people clearly care about keeping things clean! Lots of stuff to do and plenty of variety in trails so it's perfect for anyone no matter their experience. Highly recommend!

Jaystofer Bird — Google review

It was our first stay at the lodge. If you're looking for a winter weekend escape to a peaceful and serene setting, the lodge will not disappoint. We stayed in a suite. It was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The window views of the lake is amazing. The staff was very attentive. We took a 1-hour boat tour from the marina near the lodge, to see the eagles. We had a great guide and seeing the eagles was pretty cool. There are local nature trails to enjoy, and a sunset stroll on the lodge property is a nice way to end the day. The lodge restaurant provides good food at a reasonable price.

Really awesome place to watch the April '24 eclipse from!Pretty trails, well maintained with reflective markers just in case the sun sets before you're off them.Clean bathrooms, with large campsites, more than enough room to park.Didn't go golf but the course looks nice.

We had a nice time! The staff was nice and welcoming. The room was clean. The breakfast buffet...the best!!! We participated with all the scheduled activities: the bird walk, animal tracking, scenic lake tour, etc. Our kids love the outdoors so they absolutely loved all of it! Thank you for a comfortable stay!We will be returning.

Our entire experience from check in to check out was fantastic. The front desk was friendly. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The lake side views from our room were beautiful. Our eagle watching boat tour was relaxing and gorgeous. We play basketball and tennis. We got to see wildlife while biking. The food and service at the restaurant was top notch. We will be back and highly recommend visiting.

When it comes to customer service this place went out of their way to make us comfortable. We showed up later than expected and no reservation. They got my son and I into a lake view room. The restaurant showed my son and I amazing hospitality. When my son and I wanted to have our dessert in front of the fireplace they had the fireplace lit and made us comfortable in front of it with games to play. The marina was generous and so friendly. We had a blast renting water toys and hiking in the beautiful forest right behind the resort. We saw about 4 dear during our hike.An unforgettable experience for us! My only regret is not staying longer.

carolyn mcnichols — Google review

We stayed in the campgrounds site 104. It was full hookups. Didn’t use the bathrooms but popped my head in to check it out. It looked about average. Our site had a partial lane view and was pull through. It was pretty level. Looked like it had been a long while since the bbq or fire pit had been cleaned out. We also got has lot of ants all around the site and they even came in our camper. Had to go to the store to get ant killer. The lake itself was really nice. We did a boat tour and swimming trip that was $14 a person. We were the only ones on it so that was real nice. The weather wasn’t great so we didn’t get to golf or hike.

Robert & Nancy Cork — Google review

Pulled my ultralight Scamp camper down there for 2 nights, mainly to see how my car would do. It went well. I couldn't reserve the camping site that I like but was just down from it a few sites. A guy from New York said it was the best park that he had ever seen. I've camped there many times. Check out the camp activities. I didn't have a room or service, so didn't rate.

This is the 5th time we've been to DeGray. So nice and beautiful there. We like to go to during the winter time. Rates are lower and it's not as crowded. Fireplace was on, bar opened. Very cozy and romantic.i was told there were no rooms available that had a lake view but was very happy with my room anyway!

Bebe Layton — Google review

This was our first stay at the park. Stayed at the lodge while other family members camped. The lodge is nothing fancy but very comfortable and enjoyable. The camp sites were great too along with very clean camp bathrooms and showers. Our room in the lodge was on the second floor and had an amazing view of the lake. Definitely worth the extra money for a lake view. Ate breakfast in the Shoreline Cafe. They were only serving a buffet which was just ok. Gift shop had a surprisingly great choice of items. Such a beautiful lake. Can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend for all ages.

Vickie A — Google review

Beautiful scenery and very friendly employees. Shoreline restaurant has great views and food at a reasonable price. The kids meals are $6-$7 and are huge, in particular the burger. I had a pizza and it was fantastic. We will be back!

The location is very beautiful surrounded by tall pine forest bordering a well maintained lake. Food in the resort is expensive and the breakfast was over cooked dry but the service was nice. There is an outdoor playground, pool, gym, and a place to fish along with many activities to sign up for. We went on a guided group boat tour of the lake and a nighttime safari driving golf carts on the golf course! It was an awesome place for group events

Caprice Julian — Google review

Went here for the Thanksgiving buffet for $40 (includes drink and gratuity) and it was PHENOMENAL!!! They had everything you could want and more, from a massive salad bar and two tiered dessert table, to three meats, three gravies, and all the sides and fixings your heart could crave. We got there and immediately found a parking spot, went inside and there was no wait or line, got immediately seated and was able to head straight to the buffet with hardly any one around the food. The dining area had a great crowd but not chaotic and we got a lovely window seat overlooking the crystal waters and mountains with the trees changing colors. It was a beautiful Thanksgiving meal. Very low key, very delicious and zero stress involved. Afterwards it was nice to stroll the grounds outside and take in nature away from the hustle and bustle of town. I LOVE this holiday and I love cooking but this was definitely the way to go for anyone looking for a nice break at a place that takes you in like family, keeps the sweet tea full, and gorgeous views and no chaos. Only downside is no leftovers for later!!! Will definitely be back, this was truly a beautiful memory I want to experience the years to come.

Bathhouse Row is a row of eight historic bathhouses located in the heart of downtown Springfield, Missouri. Famous for its Spanish colonial facade and resident artist program, Bathhouse Row is synonymous with the city for over a century.

This is a beautiful historic home in Pennsylvania and the local government is trying to tear it down they put a prison next to it and now they're trying to put a methadone clinic next to it this place has a lot of history gangsters and politicians alike have sat in this house at the dining table and it is owned by a very nice and wonderful family now but the local government has been trying to push them out and keep trying to surround them with more problems so if you know this place please help to protect it write your local politician and tell them please save this house

The Fordyce Bathhouse Visitor Center is a restored structure that features exhibits and films about the bathhouses of yesteryear. It is one of the only places you can enter other than the Buckstaff, which has been in operation since 1912. The center also houses a museum with information about Bathhouse Rows interesting past and its famous former clients.

Such an interesting place! Definitely a must-visit for your first trip to Hot Springs. We did the self guided tour, and it felt like we were stepping through a looking glass into the early 1900s. As a nice bonus, there is no entry fee.

Deborah Myers — Google review

This is a cool place to visit and learn about the history of Hot Springs bathhouses. The exhibit is free of charge and open to the public. There are 4 floors, with artifacts and panels, images, and a brief history of the people that came to hot springs for thousands of years starting with Native Americans. If you're fascinated by history and a glimpse into how hot springs once looked, come to this place.

Alex D (HyrdoMisfits) — Google review

So much to do and learn! Beside Hot Springs having all the modern the National Park is the gem. Taking time to go through the visitor center and learn about the history of the bathhouses is a must. They have preserved and displayed something from each historic house. They have even displayed the separation of genders and race.Remember to bring your water bottles and fill up from the hot and cold taps!

Really cool self guided tour experience! Really gorgeous in some areas. My youngest sister however did accidentally lock herself in one of the men's dressing room stalls. Watch out for that one.

Aydia Easton — Google review

Must visit if you're in the hot springs national park.area. This is a well laid out museum about the history and science behind the hot springs and bath house phenomenon. Definitely a lot of interesting exhibits and write ups that will satisfy the most demanding of history buffs.

Arun Arasan — Google review

We were looking for "something along our route" and the bath houses came up as a Google recommendation. My first thought was...that doesn't seem too exciting. I looked at some reviews by others and thought my family may enjoy an hour or two here so we would go. I didn't have any great expectations.Boy was I surprised! This place was great! We stopped into the visitor center and picked up a map and a coupon booklet. Do that first! We wandered down the bustling street and passed by countless little shops. We saw an amphibians tour and thought we might try it. Maybe later. We stopped in a few bath houses that were still operational. With e kids tagging along it wasn't practical to think we were going to bathe, so we went to the next one. Everyone was super friendly and told us about the one that was turned into a museum....the Fordyce. We made our way over to the Fordyce and saw they had guided tours, or you could self tour. We didn't want to wait for the guided tour so we checked it out alone. My kids were fascinated and I quickly read all the narrations to them as were breezed through the building. They especially like the electromassage and other "weird" technology from back then. We even watched a little of the theater info video.

Must-see! This was so interesting to see what luxury was like 100 years ago. Great preservation. Three levels (and don't forget the basem*nt) to see. Plan on 30-40 minutes.

Michael Miller — Google review

This was probably the highlight of Hot Springs NP. It was really cool to learn and see how the bathhouses operated when they were in their prime. This is a free museum and has 3 floors and a basem*nt!! So much to see and learn. You can also see a bit of the actual spring water from the basem*nt.

Katie Fiola Jones — Google review

We visited here on this trip as my husband had never been here. I thought it would be something fun for us to do. The Fordyce Bathhouse is one of the old bathhouses on Bathhouse row on Central Ave in Hot Springs, Arkansas. It is a visitor center and is a museum of sorts as you can tour through the 3 floors and basem*nt. It is a step back into the glory days of what it was like for people who visited the bathhouse for either treatment for ailments or just to relax and have social interactions with other patrons. The natural hot springs that run underground were a great resource. They have an elevator here as well. The staff/park rangers are very friendly and helpful. It's a clean establishment, and there are bathrooms for you located in the basem*nt. There is a gift shop as well. The Fordyce is a must-see if you are visiting here, and it is FREE to tour also.

Carrie Willeford — Google review

My favorite stop on Bathhouse Row. I always take time to visit this beautiful, historic building when I’m in Hot Springs. It’s been so well preserved, it’s hard not to get caught up in thoughts about the lives of the people who are long-gone that occupied this bathhouse. Some of the stained glass is truly breathtaking. Every room is a snapshot of history, some sad, but very thought-provoking. I recommend the self-guided tour for anyone who would like to reflect on the past in their own time.

Amanda Scroggins — Google review

Fascinating history. We took the 10 am. outside, ranger-guided tour led by Ranger Chimill. He was so knowledgeable and interesting. There was also an inside tour, but we preferred slowly going through the museum by ourselves as they had the information well marked on signs and placards.

Eileen Brand — Google review

We enjoyed our ranger-led tours of the springs and bathhouse. You can also do self-guided tours. Very interesting. More like a museum or historic site than a National Park, though.

Loretta Divine — Google review

We had a superb visit here, learning the history of the bathhouses, with focus on the Fordyce as we walked back in time through the facility. Our park ranger guide was outstanding as she explained in detail the evolution of the area and how the bathhouses operated. Fascinating stuff and well worth the time spent.

Matt — Google review

It’s free and it is rich in history. There are guided tours twice a day by the rangers. Definitely worth visiting! It is also surrounded by some of the operational bath houses near by. Also plenty of restaurants around. Parking can be quite tricky to find during weekends.

Shriraam Murali — Google review

FREE Admission- What an amazing visit! The building is kept at 62 degrees- you may want to bring a jacket. If you are thinking about stopping in it is so worth your time. Very educational while enjoyable experience as well. The park rangers were so friendly and knowledgeable. There are guided tours at set times of the day, a video segment. Make sure you make it to the third floor and see the beautiful stain glass ceiling in the parlor. There is free parking near by the building. It is a very busy area. A bit challenging to access but very worth it. Restrooms are available in the basem*nt.

Rita Loeding — Google review

Nice museum with no visiting charges . Displaying the ancient bath treatment provided using the hot spring water and how the infrastructure was at that time. Looked very luxurious . Different treatment provided , different room , changing room and how the spring water was supplied upstairs.

The landmark Hot Springs Mountain Tower has views of the surrounding mountains and Hot Springs National Park. The tower is 216-feet tall, making it a great place to see the area.

Hot Springs Mountain Tower is a must see when visiting HS, Arkansas for sure! You get a beautiful view of the town below and surrounding mountains. Makes for nice photos. I've gone twice and would go again next time I vacation in Arkansas. Gift shop always has cute things to choose from. My husband bought me birthstone stud earrings the first time we went and a lovely ring the second time. Being way up high is always so exciting!

Elo?za — Google review

A breathtaking view of Hot Springs and the surrounding area! If you are visiting for the first time, this absolutely needs to be on your list of things to do.The gift shop was cute and full of local souvenirs, the employees were very welcoming, and the top of the tower really is something to experience. The very top floor is open-air, while the floor just below has windows and goes into the history of Hot Springs, the tower, etc. I can tell you I have a pretty intense fear of heights, but I went up for our kids and I really did feel safe once I got to the top. If you're nervous about going, I'd encourage you to give it a shot.If you have young kids, be prepared for them to get to the top and say "Wow! We're up high! Can we go now?" 😂 You may have to do some speed reading to read some of the information on the enclosed floor.Honestly, I may have enjoyed the drive up and down the mountain as much as I enjoyed the tower! It was filled with switchbacks and was really a beautiful drive. Lots of places along the way to stop, see the sights, have a picnic lunch, and even walk some trails if you'd like.

David Engle — Google review

Our family of 5 came for the bath houses....decided to see the tower. There was the option of parking at the bottom and hiking the trail to the tower, but the drive seemed like a better idea as Temps were nearing 93.The drive up the mountain was beautiful with dozens of switchbacks winding though the trees as the sun poking through created a natural strobe light effect.Parking up top is limited to about 50 vehicles...so come early, although many who come up do not stay too long. There is a gift shop in the bottom of the tower that looks a little dated, but the workers were extremely nice. The price for the tower is a little steep costing 13 for adults and 9 for kids. 1st responder discount and a 1 free admission coupon from the guide book we picked up at the visitors center in town...we spent less than 45 bucks. The tower was busy (July 3rd) so there was a 5 minute wait for the elevator. There is a turnstyle from an old subway that you place your token in to access the elevators. A 1 minute ride to the top and you can staybas long as you like. The very top was open air but if you go around to the staircase, the is another floor lower that is enclosed with A/C and lots of reading panels. We took the staircase back down which was pleasant.

Joshua Steele — Google review

Great views but very windy! Recommend bringing a jacket if you visit the outside observation deck! The inside observation deck is the level below it, but the views are better from the very top of the tower. Wish we got to see the sun set all the way. Unfortunately, their hours say it closes at 5pm, but the tower actually closes at 4:30pm. Wish they would extend their hours, especially during the summer when the sun sets later because the views would be beautiful! Admission was $10/person and parking is free.

Alexandra Nusawardhana — Google review

So very pretty, and also very interesting. The gift shop is kind of pricey, but the lookout tower views make up for it. The staff is so nice, upbeat, and pleasant to interact with. To put it simply, the staff was refreshing. I highly recommend!!If you’re in the military or are a first responder, they will give you a discounted rate, so be sure to bring proof or an ID if that applies to you.

Sheena Youngers — Google review

Visited 7/3/23My wife wanted to go up in this tower for our anniversary today. It’s a beautiful view of Hot Springs and the surrounding mountains. The elevator has a window and goes up the middle of the 216 ft. crossbeam structure that the overlook platform is built on.Lots of souvenirsin the gift shop at the bottom. Everyone should visit here at least once.

Robert Beaman — Google review

Beautiful uphill drive and nicely built tower. The best part was the elevator going up to the viewing deck. You could see miles away while going up. The views from the tower are awesome. You could see the buildings and the hotels around. Hot Spring, AR has so many trees. You could see the greenery all over the place from the tower. You also find the hot springs at the base of the tower while going back.

Irfan Azam — Google review

Easily accessible from the main road, plenty of free parking including for Handicap accessible Vehicles. The drive up is very nice with some view points. You can also walk up to the topThere was not a long wait to buy tickets or for the Elevator to go up. You can also walk the stairs if you like.Excellent 360 view from the top with plenty of Historical Photos and information. There is a nice shop where you purchase the tickets.

P Oneliv — Google review

Lovely view and really good customer service. You do have to pay to go up. They give a discount for groups of 15 or more and also offer a military/veterans discount.

Frances Sharp — Google review

Amazing view from the top. You can drive to it or hike to it. Roughly 1/2-3/4 mile hike up the hill. Medium level of difficulty but worth it in my opinion.Gift shop items are excessively overpriced, kind of expected, but not to this extreme.

Ryan Meier — Google review

$12 with a National Parks pass to get elevator to the top which is 216ft.Great views over the National Park and over the town of Hot Springs. There is an exhibition level below the top deck giving the history of the town and the famous people who came to the area to bathe in the spring water.

Alan Aim — Google review

The tower tour was a quick in and out. Lots of information on the history. Great views. We were able see the pretty fall colors view. The tower closed at 2.00pm due to the day before Thanksgiving. We also got $3off per ticket as we had the annual national park pass.

Shruthi SK — Google review

Must see and do. There are a lot of history placards on the 2nd floor. The 3rd floor is an outdoor viewing area. Loved it. I have a National Parks pass so out entry was $10/person

Janis RB — Google review

360 degree view up to 5 miles on a good day. What you see is downtown Hot Springs and a lot of trees and more trees for miles. Two levels are accessible. Second last level is barricaded with glass and exhibits explaining the history of the town. Last floor is partially obstructed and you can feel the wind on your face as you immerse in the breathtaking views of the town.Plenty of parking around the tower. 5 minutes easy drive through the winding roads from downtown. It is wheelchair accessible and has elevator. If you get a coupon book from the downtown visitor center, you get one free entry to the tower. They also offer military discount and if you are a military gold star family member, you further get a dollar off on already discounted military ticket.Restrooms are near the exit/gift shop.

Vijay Thakkar — Google review

Recommended by a native from Hot Springs, we made a point to go before sunset and got there just in time before they stopped making runs up to the top (4:30p in November). Hold on to your hat when you get to the top so it doesn’t blow away! Beautiful drive up the windy 5k road to the base of the tower and peaceful, gorgeous views await you at the top!

Carrie Barton — Google review

Awesome views of the town Hot Springs! Well worth it, elevator was a bit sketchy though. You also have to pay for the viewing scopes up top. They have a gift shop at the bottom/ entrance when you first come in.

Michael Meeks — Google review

*Don't worry...there is parking at top next to tower. The drive up, as the fall leaves are in peak change, was beautiful. No vehucles over 30ft due to tight turns on 1 way road. You only pay if you want to go up. It costs about $13/person...there's also a discount for military/first responders.Tower is the highest point around and view is beautiful. The gift shop at bottom is full of souvenoir options too. There is an elevator to top.*To the owner: my appologies...typo regarding cost to go up.- C. Lopez

Cliff Lopez — Google review

The drive up was very nice lots of scenery. When we at the top looking up at the tower was very impressive. So we paid our way in and took the elevator to the top and what a view! Then there is all kinds of history about Hot Springs and the tower with all the famous people from the 30s to include Babe Ruth and lots of other baseball players. The gift shop is also very cool with shirts, hats and other items. You won't be disappointed at all. This was my first time up and I did it for my 61st birthday!

Nature & Parks

Destination featuring a historic lodge with a pool, plus hiking, boating & dramatic natural scenery.

Petit Jean State Park has been one of my favorite wilderness experiences in Arkansas! We stayed at the campground in the park which was extremely clean, had great facilities, and was absolutely beautiful. It made getting up and exploring that much easier every single day. My two favorite parts of the part were the Petit Jean Overlook and Gravesite, and the Cedar Falls Trail. The Petit Jean Overlook is amazing to experience at different times of the day with the lights and shadows changing constantly and is amazing to catch a sunrise if you can! The Cedar Falls are absolutely marvelous and if you can make the trek down and back they are completely worth it! This area is amazing and should definitely be on your Arkansas list if you are visiting the area!

Jeremy Janus — Google review

Loop A is really nice. We had full hookups, lots of space between sites, and a separate tent pad. The lake is beautiful and there is a pool. The visitor center is very nice for basic needs. There are plenty of hiking trails and scenic places within a short walk or drive.

Jim Martorano — Google review

On our journey from Little Rock to Oklahoma, we were fortunate to stumble upon this hidden gem in Arkansas. What a delightful discovery it turned out to be! This place is a haven for nature lovers, boasting several incredible hiking trails to explore. Opting for the Cedar Falls trail was a decision we didn't regret. While it takes around 45 minutes to reach the falls, the journey is just as rewarding as the destination. The breathtaking views along the way heightened our excitement, and finally witnessing the majestic Cedar Falls was an unforgettable moment. It's definitely a highlight of our trip, and we highly recommend it to anyone seeking a refreshing outdoor adventure!!

Absolutely beautiful. Peaceful. This STATE park is better than some National Parks. The staff and rangers have all been super friendly and helpful. The hikes have a variety of easy, moderate, strenuous levels. Beautiful hikes. Bear Cave, Rock House, Turtle Rocks, Cedar Falls. The over looks are great and provide ADA Access. The smaller cabin is perfect for my 6 year old, wife and myself. With everything you need to cook, make a fire, etc.We will return and do Canyon Trail, Seven Hollows, and hopefully the Boy Scout Trails.

Nelson Weems — Google review

Absolutely beautiful! Almost didn't stop here on our trip but so glad we did. Lots of waterfalls, creeks/water, rock formations, and caves throughout the park. Large visitors center. Lots of great trails of varying difficulty and a handful of overlooks right off the road. Didn't camp here but they also have plenty of camping areas from what I saw!

Amanda Bird — Google review

Such a lovely, well maintained park, campground and amenities. We stayed at Campground B, space 49 for 4 nights starting 6/26/2023. We traveled the entire park, fished the lake and the river, and hiked some trails. The site was full amenities and had a tent site. There are varied amounts of amenities at different sites as well. The visitors center was great with pleasant staff. The auto museum was chock full of brand new condition that were 70 years old or more. Maher Lodge is a must see. The roads to the park are small, hilly type roads but not overly difficult. There aren’t any bait stores close, so bring your own. Firewood is available very close. I will stay here again it is such a top notch place.

Craig Vogler — Google review

Great park providing something for everyone. The trails were well kept and marked. Lakes were clean, peaceful and had plenty of options for boat rentals for us to enjoy. I would recommend the bike boats and sunset kayaking. The bike trail was smooth and easy to travel. Campsites were all very well kept and provided enough space to have privacy. All the staff and guides were very polite and helpful. Great place for the entire family! Plenty of picnic areas. Playground for the young ones. Clean restrooms and showers! You can even bring your pets.

Brad Smith — Google review

Another great state park. Arkansas should be proud of their park system. I love the fact they they do not charge a fee just to use the parks. They do charge for camping. Very nice trail system for hiking and biking. It is dog friendly as long as you clean up after your pets. We stayed in the campground for a couple of nights.

My sister and her husband and I love going hiking 🥾🥾 and we thought we had seen everything that could surprise us, well were we ever wrong! This place was beyond our expectations! The house cave, was the most AWESOME cave we ever seen, to walk around in something that huge was an amazing experience, but to get there you had to walk around what we called the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 🐢 🐢🐢 🐢 LOL The Turtle Rocks were something totally out of this world 🌎! The overlook point was amazing as well! We also hiked Bear Cave and the other one where the bridge was out but we still did the whole hike. Your state park is so beautiful! Can't wait to do it again.

Eric James Lenhardt — Google review

I’m visiting from out of state and went hiking here on Christmas day. It was amazing! I did the waterfall hike and the bear cave hike. The trails are very well marked. They were serving lunch on Christmas and all the staff were super friendly. It was a great visit all around!

Steph West — Google review

The most beautiful state park ever! The trail to cedar falls, and cedar falls itself has to be one of the coolest places. We were lucky enough to be able to view the 2024 solar eclipse inside the Falls!

Brittany Risk — Google review

Amazing Place!! We hiked cedar falls trail and to a few others. Cedar falls alone was worth it all!! A workout but well worth it!! Wear non slip hiking shoes. The path and rocks are wet along the trail in a couple of areas. Also, don't forget drinking water.

Arrived, it was a nice facility. Some of the the front desk staff was friendly, the manager was lovely and kind.. we stayed a few days, and had to deal with another staff member think his name was Troy. His attitude was tolerable and kind of impatient.Being a consumer I expected better that, no room service which was fine, it was hard getting towels and requesting them when he was there. First day getting them was fine we figured out from the front desk on how to go about getting service leave it outside the door. The second day we didn't receive bedding and towels till 1:30 and they took the trash can as well, so we had to go buy trash bags. The lodging was OK, kind of small and enclosed, as well as getting things up and down to the rooms was difficult, being the pavement wasn't the smoothest, the carts couldn't go down the stairs. I'd hate to have been in a wheelchair. Overall, it was a beautiful experience; I just wouldn't lodge there again. The service wasn't all that to me; like I said, I felt tolerable vibes, but that's my opinion. As well as no security light during quiet time, it is pitch black. Going to get a drink from the vending machine . The light was so dim. We stayed three days in Mathers Lodge, garbage lining not changed until day 4.

jiah jackson — Google review

The Lodge was comfortable and quaint. While our rooms were small, they were comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful and the park was beautiful. We lucked out, and a cool spell blew through the night we arrived, so we had pleasant temps in late July.

Lou Ann Warren — Google review

Beautiful place and stunning views something for everyone nice day trips or camping there is even a motel, or stay in a cabin and eat in the lodge, a lake and swimming area. Hiking trails everywhere. Picnic areas, retreat camps. Wedding venues, car museum, waterfall, handicap accessible to all viewing areas. There are homes up there to along the back side of the Mt.

Gail Tudor — Google review

We had a great time at this park. We stayed in section C I believe which is the older campground. Some of these sites are a tight fit and our water facet was so far away from my camper I couldn’t reach it with a 50 ft hose. I did like the mature trees in the area though and we were able to make it work. Each site has your typical amenities fire ring, lantern pole, tent pad, etc. The bathrooms were really well maintained just a little dated in our section and the showers offered little privacy. The visitors center was nice and new and offered a small educational exhibit. The park offers so many hiking trails and other amenities such as an on site restaurant, swimming pools, basketball courts, kayaking etc. There is so much for the family to do in the area definitely worth the drive to visit and stay for a weekend!

Nathan Pierce — Google review

We camped in section B fairly level sites with nice space between camp sites. Enjoyed some of the hikes. Beautiful waterfalls. Cleaned bathrooms. Very busy on weekends and very quiet on the weekdays. Great staff at the visitor center. Thank you for a great camping trip.

Bonita Burden — Google review

This park is an absolute delight. There is something here for everyone. Caves? Check. Waterfalls? Check. Mountain vistas? Check. Hiking, birding, swimming, camping, literally all the things.I haven’t stopped thinking about how wonderful this park is and how much I want to revisit.

Christine Gruber — Google review

Absolutely beautiful! Loved the trails and stunning views and overlooks. Our Cabin was comfortable and near Mather Lodge. Didn’t do the difficult trails. Rock house trail,Petit Jean Overlook, and Cedar trail falls was our favorite!

Melissa Krieger — Google review

I only really had enough time to stop by the visitor center and the lookout area, but I can't wait to get back there for more! The views were amazing and I know there is a lot more of them worth seeing. I also really want to get to the waterfall and do the hikes this park offers.

JC Prazak (Ozark Explorer) — Google review

Just a two night visit and a promise to come back! The A and B campgrounds are new and spacious but the C and D campgrounds are old and the sites are of uneven quality. Some may be too small, too uneven or too close for some people. The hiking is excellent with excellent markings and maintenance. The Mather Lodge is perfectly situated with marvelous views. I can’t speak to the quality of food, drink and lodging but I bet they’re good. Restrooms clean and utile if a bit old in some cases. We’ll be back to fully explore the hiking for sure.

Nature & Parks

Pinnacle Mountain State Park is a beautiful state park located in Little Rock, Arkansas. The park has hiking trails that offer amazing views of the city and surrounding areas. There is also a visitor center and arboretum onsite, making it a great place to visit if you're interested in nature or hiking.

Pinnacle Mountain State Park is an absolute must see if you are in the area! The park is beautiful, has tons of trails and water access, and offers some of the best views near Little Rock! My favorite place to hike is the Pinnacle Mountain West Summit Trailhead since it has a decent grade, wonderful views, and has a bit of a scramble up the boulder field to get to the top. Pinnacle Mountain is the only place I have ever hiked both the sunrise and sunset on the same day due to the proximity to the Maumelle Park Campground I stayed at. The sunset at the top is one of the best I have seen across the country, and it feels like you are somewhere tropical with the colors of the trees and sky you can get when the sun is setting over the ridge. I cannot recommend this park and these views enough if you are around Little Rock!

Jeremy Janus — Google review

This trail is not for inexperienced hikers. The trails begins fairly easy at the beginning and as you’re going up, you’ll need your hands to help you climb. I didn’t get bit by any bugs, although I saw a green poisonous snake. Luckily the other hikers warned me before I was about to step on the snake. When you’ve climbed your way to the very top, a fantastic view awaits you. Make sure to wear appropriate shoes, bring loads of water and snacks. I loved this trail and you will as well!!

Pinnacle mountain hiking trail is an absolute must-see! A spectacular location with incredible views and plenty of opportunities for exploration. The trail is well-marked and easy to navigate, with plenty of parking available. The scenery is breathtaking. There's plenty of wildlife to spot in the area. My German shepherd really enjoy it. I highly recommend it - an unforgettable adventure! Five stars for sure!

A beautiful state park. Free! The hikes are easy, a nice walk. The views are some of the best in the country. They have good trails for biking as well. Lots of ground to cover. The lake is gorgeous. Water looks good. They have pavilions or places to have a cookout or barbecue. A playground for the kids, bathrooms, small pier for viewing, canoe rentals, and more trails to walk through the woods. My family really enjoyed this park. Look forward to our next visit!

Vince Monreal — Google review

Very nice hike to the summit. Clearly marked trail, even when it becomes boulder steps. More area at the summit than expected. You can make this as difficult as you like by increasing pace, or go slow. I went up and back in under 30 minutes, but I can see going at a slower more leisurely pace and enjoy the surroundings. The park itself looks like a great place for a family outing or group gathering.

Nate Hart — Google review

We went on the West Summit trail and hiked on a clear day! Very steep at the top with lots of rocks. I highly recommend wearing hiking boots and be careful with leaves on rocks as they are slick. I almost slipped! Overall took about 1.5 hours for us. Worth the view!

Jaja C — Google review

Beautiful park! Lots of hiking trails of varying lengths and difficulty. Some paved some not. There's lots of rock formations, a quarry, mountain, and a few overlooks as well. Last minute addition to our trip but so glad we added it!

Amanda Bird — Google review

Nice State Park. Lots of trails to go on. Theres a alligator that is happy in a big aquarium inside the vistors center. Park is clean and theres a small lake that looks like a painting.

chad skabronski — Google review

Beautiful. I've never taken the hard trail but the easier one is a piece of cake. Id say takes roughly 1hr 45 min for the average person to reach the top. I do wish It was easier to get to the edge when up there but hey, its beautiful. The bathrooms are clean and their is also a playground for kids. Plenty of grills and picnic tables also.

Alisha Hagen — Google review

Pinnacle Mountain is so beautiful. Great place to hike, bike, enjoy nature and the view. Our family loves it here! Today we went hiking East Summit Trail and I only made it up 3/4 way because it was so steep and rocky but I had fun!

Joni Alina — Google review

We were very surprised upon our arrival at the size of this park, but really enjoyed our visit. The park ranger advised us that the West side summit trail was a little easier and not as steep. Nice park store, and we enjoyed our hike to the overlook area of the River. We were excited to see that the 223 mile Ouachita Trailhead is located here. Don't think it is an easy 1.5 mile hike up the mountain! It's very rough and you are climbing straight up and over HUGE boulders through at least a mile of the trail. It's very worth it once you get to the top, but we seen several dogs loosing their footing sliding down the rocks, and a couple of people in flip flops falling. It's important to bring PLENTY of water, and proper shoes! I know that my picture of the rocks looks flat, but that's looking almost at a straight up incline that you are climbing up to the summit!

Tena Jones — Google review

My daughter (12 y/o) and I visit Pinnacle Mountain at least once or twice a year and have been doing this for the past 4 years. The hike is moderate to strenuous but the view at the top is wonderful. There are other trails and a beautiful park that has a playground for kids.Take plenty of water (we have a camelback) and a bag to carry your trash as there isn’t a trash can along the trail. My daughter and I also pack a few snacks to eat when we get to the top.I do want to state that we have stumbled upon 3 snakes (non-venomous) on or along the trail so, be careful and keep an eye out. There are a lot of nice trails here. This is a beautiful state park. The people at the visitor center are really nice and you will find a lot of other hikers here to offer you advice along the way. Each trail is Walmart and very clean. I will give some recommendations on which hikes to do for each type of person that might come here.If you are inexperienced at hiking, or if you are in a wheelchair or want to be on a paved path instead of a rocky or dirt path, you can take the Rocky Valley Trail. There’s a nice view at the top and it’s easily accessible by the parking lot in the visitor center which may be easier for you to park in because the other parking lots are smaller. If you are a beginner hiker, you can take the bass trail, which is the green trail and hike as far as you want and then turn back and go back to your car. There is a few rocks on the ground but it’s mostly a dirt trail. If you want a little bit of an adventure, you could take the West Summit Trail, which is the yellow trail up to the top of the mountain. It only really gets difficult in the second half where you have to go up some stone steps or some rocks that are placed like steps. once you get to the top, it will all be worth it. I don’t expect it would be that much more difficult than taking a long big staircase. Then you can turn around and go back to your car. Finally, for an experienced hiker, you should park at the west summit entrance, and then use the base trail to go around the south side of the mountain to the east summit entrance, and then climb the mountain from the east and descend from the west. This is the red trail. Then your car will be right there waiting when you get done with the mountain. This took my wife and I exactly 4 hours and we are Relatively inexperienced hikers. It’s the most fun hike I’ve ever been on.

It is a good park for children, with a large area to play soccer or outdoor games, the restrooms are next to the play area, there’s vending machines for drinks, in case you forget yours.

We had a great hike this morning with some good friends and beautiful views on the way up and at the top. Definitely worth the trip.

Erik Holm — Google review

This was pretty intense, and we took the yellow path. There's a red, way more challenging path. Beautiful views, totally worth the climb. Make sure you bring water and have time to complete.

Matthew Castillo — Google review

Nice park outside Little Rock that’s clean and has solid hiking. Climbing the mountain and the 360 views was fun yet challenging.

FFKDTP1 — Google review

My absolute favorite hiking spot! It's gorgeous and while sometimes it can be busy, everyone respects everyone else. It can be a bit of a moderate hike in some places, especially a few scrambles on the west side. The views alone are all worth it. Great place to take a pup too!

Kayla Feist — Google review

I'm not sure how well marked the trails are, but you would struggle to get lost.We went up the "easy" side and still found it pretty challenging for people who don't hike a lot.The view from the top of the Arkansas River was stellar.

Great park. Very well maintained trails and recreation areas. The view from the summit is glorious on a clear day

I only got to spend half a day exploring this park, mostly driving through. Very nice place with modern facilities plus friendly people when I came across them. I did stop on 2 short trails with over looks.

We walked up to the viewing area and checked out the visitors center. They have some very interesting displays and a deck for viewing. There is a small gift shop and clean restrooms. We also really enjoyed waking the paths in the Arksnsas Arboretum right up the road!

Black Earth Storage — Google review

Had so much fun. We went for the little.5 my loop after visiting the visitor center. The guidance is there. That had a playground as well so the kids had a blast. Most definitely recommend going there if you have young ones. It's a simple loop you get to see wildlife you get to see the water you get to see the greenery. And you get to go to a playground. They had some restrooms there as well.

Shruti Subramanian — Google review

Clean & rugged area. The quarry area was blocked off. The state park closes 1 hour after sunset. All areas free to explore. Lots of cypress trees in los areas and scenic views higher up. I frequent this area and find it to never be crowded like many of the others in the state.

Quiet and beautiful surroundings. Great place to commune with God.Pinnacle has playground, walking trails, and restrooms.Really busy on spring and summer holidays.

The hike was not too bad but you definitely need to bring water and be able to step over and on large rocks. We had a great time.

Historical landmark

Sights & Landmarks

The Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site commemorates the pivotal event of the Brown vs. Board of Education case in 1957, when nine black students enrolled at the school after the government decreed that all schools must be integrated. The site offers interactive exhibits and a visitor center with guided tours, free of charge, open Tuesday through Saturday.

This site goes well beyond information strictly pertaining to the high school. It also covers women’s rights, workers’ rights, etc - because we’re not free until we’re all free. The ranger who met me at the door was obviously passionate and helpful. The NPS app is a helpful addition, especially to visiting the grounds. I wish I had planned ahead better, so that I would be able to take a guided tour.Beyond worth your time.

Victoria Eads — Google review

Such an incredible landmark to visit. Also amazing is that it's still a functioning high school.Kids were coming in and out of the front while our park ranger was giving us a tour from the outside. Presentation was given on the front steps.Everyone should visit to better understand how segregation was, sadly, started in America. The path was long and horrendous but the students that endured the unspeakable torment made it possible for so many more to move forward.

Toby McClain — Google review

Ranger Randy was the absolute BEST. He brought the tour as close to being there when it occurred as humanly possible. I was there based on his detailed explanation of events and situations the nine students faced It was chilling, to say the least, but he did not hold back a single detail or try and sugarcoat the situation He told the history and warned everyone up front, if you are here for a happy and sweet story, this is not that tour It was the BEST and most informative tour I have been on, and since I am retired, I have attended many of them Well, Done, Randy, and I HIGHLY Recommend if you are planning to take this tour and you get Randy, get ready to find yourself, regardless of race, creed, or color, literally standing on the streets and steps of history and feeling like you are really a part of it Well Done!!! v/r, Dr. K. King

If you are in Little Rock this is a must stop! There is something for everyone learn about what happened to the "Little Rock Nine". Very eye opening experience!

Barb Drewis — Google review

We took the guided tour. It was about 2 hours but well worth it! The Junior Ranger book here is much more inline with the park than most parks as well. Plan on a minimum of 3-4 hours to get the tour and do the museum. Absolutely recommend!

Dustin J — Google review

The ranger Ranger Randy Dotson is so knowledgeable and passionate, the tour was almost 3 hours all for free i arrived 8 minutes before it started without a reservation it was my lucky day they took me in.

Freedomat51Rock — Google review

Wonderful experience. Tour guide was very knowledgeable. Wish we were able to enter the school.

Amarie Stevens — Google review

We did not get to visit the museum as it was closed the day we were there, but just visiting the building was amazing. Central's history of public school racial integration was what brought us here and that would have been enough, but upon seeing the actual structure, we were blown away by the architecture and were compelled to research it's history, which I encourage you to do. It gives even more depth to the meaning of the events that took place, besides being fascinating in itself. Such a beautiful place that has obviously been taken very good care of- it's so gratifying to see that an important historical landmark will live on for a long time so others may visit.

Charissa Hanson — Google review

Amazing site to go to and learn the history of the Little Rock Nine. The museum is informative with videos and articles/artifacts. If you're looking to visit a national historic site I'd highly recommend.

Roger Alonzo — Google review

The Visitor Center was was closed when we were there, but there was still parking available. Since the school is still in use today, it is free and open to the public to walk around outside. There are several statues and walkways. It was moving to be able to walk up the same step were history was made decades ago.

Bonnie Robinson — Google review

The school is enormous! Majestic! The Visitor Center was awesome. Nice gift shop. Very interactive and educational! The Little Rock Nine are... heroic... worthy of honor!

Jenny K. — Google review

As a kid of lived through my own desegregation trauma...I simply couldn't drive through Little Rock and not see the famed building that was one of the first proving grounds of the Supreme Court's desegregation order! I am glad I did. I didn't know the National Parks Service had designated it as a landmark and had a visitor center with exhibits nearby. What I thought would be a quick snapshot in front of the building turned into an emotional roller-coaster and an opportunity to walk among history.

Michael E. Straughter — Google review

Great place to visit to see history. The ranger was great.

Dave Higgins — Google review

The staff was so friendly and really seemed to enjoy their work. This is a most for any national park lover and so educational about the history of our country.

Allie A — Google review

It was very interesting. Our 11 year old granddaughter got a chance to learn about her hometown and even earn her Jr. Ranger badge.

CHERYL Poppel — Google review

The high school is still an operating high school, so there are necessary restrictions when visiting the site, but the Visitor Center at the National Historic Site is a treasure trove of incredible information about the Little Rock Nine and the entire Civil Rights Movement before and after. The staff at the Visitor Center are incredibly helpful and informative.

B. MIchael McFarland — Google review

I stopped by here on my way east. Intresting place even if it is woke. They have a junior ranger program but to compleat it would take quite a while. There is an old gas station across the stree that looks just like it did in the 1950s. This is a free national hiatoric site. There are a lot of intresting videos inside.

Moving on with Old man river — Google review

There are no words to describe this amazing piece of US history. Go on a guided tour- a ranger-led interpretive tour will give you so much more perspective/information than just visiting the visitor center. To walk in the footsteps of the 9 black students, the National Guard, the police, the media, the federal troops, the teachers, and the white students is one of the most sobering and provocative experiences that I've ever had. The school is still an active high school, so you can't go inside on a tour. Just walking the grounds is powerful. The history this school has seen.

Food court

Shopping

The River Market District in Little Rock is a popular destination for food lovers with a variety of eateries and stalls to choose from. The market hall is an open concept building with food stalls, coffee vendors, groceries, and take-out options. In addition to the food court, the district features a twice-weekly farmer's market as well as frequent concerts.

Delicious food options

Kadie Wabnum — Google review

The River Market was nearly completely devoid of people on our Saturday afternoon visit. While the place might be quite entertaining during the summer, it is rather lifeless in the winter. The Middle East Mediterranean place did have fantastic food and incredibly friendly service!

Dan Brown — Google review

Went on a Saturday and it was oddly very empty….there was no farmers market just a few restaurants open

Lauren (Rose) — Google review

I don’t understand how anyone would consider this small rundown venue a “world class international market”…… the inside is 25 years dated…. Most shops and booths are abandoned, trashy, or closed. The shops they do have offers food that tastes like fast food versions of international dishes. There’s a homeless camp in front of and behind the venue. the outdoor seating is sad (old metal tables placed haphazardly on the concrete area behind the venue). Hours of operation are never accurate. there’s trash thrown all over the place. I dunno….. seems like a struggling venue with limited options.

Justin Shaffer — Google review

Food was delicious from the Thai restaurant. Great choices and all very good. Sadly ,there was usually one person working each booth. This made for long waits for food. Great place if you aren’t in a hurry.

Very cool river front area with great walk way with sculptures, flowers, kids area and great view points. Lots of shade and benches to rest . Many ships and bars on the main street too

A nice farmer's market offering local produce and goods. Located under two covered vendor areas, this downtown river market is a fun way to spend a Saturday morning! Bicycle rentals and a ton of restaurants along with a food hall are just feet away.

Sights & Landmarks

The William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum is located within the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock, Arkansas and honors the life of former U.S. President William J. Clinton. The museum offers exhibits on Clinton's time in office as well as his personal life, and features artifacts from both his presidency and his time spent as a governor of Arkansas.

Beautiful facility with rotating exhibit items and photo ops.Even though we went during a busy event day (spring break season AND a private function) we didn’t have to wait long for security. And we read ahead of time about health & safety protocols. So, that helped. My little kiddos are 5 & 11 - both enjoyed the library and exhibits for different reasons. You’ll spend about 2 hours here and no matter what, you’ll learn something or see something new.I was impressed by the table setting and Bill’s saxophones. Yes, there’s heavy-hitting news and history to read about. But some of the lighthearted items really spoke to me this visit. Maybe it humanizes the office. I’m not sure.5 stars now. 5 stars the first year it opened. And I’m guessing 5 stars when I return in the future, too.

Such a neat experience. This building has several floors and so much to see, you could easily spend several hours here. They had a temporary woman's rights exhibit while we were visiting which was very informative and interesting. Aside for the historical part, the views from this building are amazing. There is a gorgeous, large park area to walk around outside that includes walking trails and a foot bridge over the river. We intend to come back to explore outside more!

Shelby — Google review

Beautifully laid out library. We got on an amazing tour lead by Joyce. Very informative. Tour lasted hour and a half. Highly recommend the tour if you Have time. Take a walk across the bridge. Great views of the museum and Arkansas River.

Mike Moessl — Google review

Price is reasonable. Sleek, modern building. Lots of memories of the 90's. Of course, it shows Clinton in the most positive light. No mention of Monica Lewinsky and other topics like Whitewater or the impeachment are glossed over. That being said, the exhibits are nicely arranged and it is a fitting tribute. My only beef is that guests are not allowed to take their own pictures in the replica oval office--you have to buy an overpriced picture package for that presidential privilege.

Michael Miller — Google review

One of the grandest Presidential libraries in America. Stunningly beautiful grounds. The school of public affairs is situated in an old train station waiting room, which has been renovated to perfection. The building is bound by the Arkansas River on one side and the city of Little Rock. There's a lovely outdoor cafe called 42. Don't hesitate to ask the wonderful volunteers for some stories about Bill Clinton's visits... they have plenty! .On the roof is his private putting green and apartment. They claim to see the top of his grey head often when he is there :) Wonderful place to bring the family.

Em Slate — Google review

How interesting! The gifts given to the Clinton's from other countries were amazing. The staff is remarkable. Very knowledgeable. The photo opportunity in the Oval Office is worth it. I thought that was the best part.

Joan Carlile — Google review

The volunteer staff is very eager to help. One of them shared that there will be a multi-million dollar renovation. The long hall, organized by years, has a LOT of detail in the form of audiovisual screens. Unfortunately, the many audio tracks are competing with each other, and I had trouble hearing. My favorite section was upstairs, where the state dinner bling was displayed. Also upstairs, many artifacts from Bill’s and Hillary’s childhood. The gift shop had interesting and unique items for sale.

John Enright — Google review

The library is beautiful and so interesting to wander through. I love learning more of our American history. Grounds are wonderful, so much to see. It was busy the day we went, but everything seemed to move very smoothly. We spent a few hours there.

Tons of archive and documents. Vivid history of President Clinton and his administration. Really friendly stuff. Due to COVID, please make sure you bring either vaccine copy and wear a mask. If you can not show a phone copy of your vaccination paper, security will not let you in!

Lei Wang — Google review

We felt like the admission price was a little steep in combination with charging for a photo to sit in the replica oval office, but the photo is not obligatory and the facility was very nice and well-kept.I honestly wasn't expecting much out of the library, but was pleasantly surprised. I found the museum to be educational, thorough, and it had a nice mix of political and personal details to keep it engaging. We spent several hours in the museum and came away feeling educated and optimistic about the future of politics.

Tickets are $12, and you’re able to visit the permanent archives and memorabilia and the temporary exhibits — I saw the one on dinosaurs with props from Jurassic Park! Parking is nearby, free, and easy. Great view of the river and city.

Starr Crow — Google review

A beautiful structure located by the river. The library offers a tour twice a day. Try to catch it and then go back to read what exhibits you want. Plenty of things to do to keep you busy for 2 hours. Not for young ones really. Too much reading to keep them engaged. A temporary dinosaur exhibit was there when we visited. Kids would like it, but 30 minutes tops.

Cameron Campbell — Google review

Just visited the Clinton Library and Museum – what a trip! Parking was a breeze, and I'd recommend setting aside 2-3 hours to explore. The highlight? The replica of Oval Office, no doubt. It's like stepping into history. Take your time in the timeline exhibit too. A lot to soak in here. 🇺🇸📚

Sahaj Parekh — Google review

This wasn’t the first presidential library I visited so I rated it one star less. My overall experience was great. I love how detailed everything was. Enjoyed reading about the history and seeing documents, memorabilia, how the oval office looked like to name a few. Did learn a lot of things during my visit and I loved the Dino Exhibit. It was great for kids and adult alike. Took off one star because we weren’t allowed to take a photo at the oval office unless we pay extra. Also, comparing this to other Presidential Libraries, I think it was small. Other than that, I had fun visiting this place and would highly recommend it if you happen to be in the area.

F&I — Google review

Visited with my daughter at the beginning of this month. She’s five, so it’s not always easy to bring young children to history-type museums so I was extremely happy to find out their were also having a dinosaur exhibit, that really sold it for her! I’m not the biggest history buff so what initially attracted me was the exterior and interior architecture. This was my first time in a presidential museum and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Granted, we did not stay the amount of time needed to truly soak in all of the history, but such is expected with small children. The dinosaur exhibit was interactive and plentiful, they made good use of today’s technology such as machine that turns drawings into 3D dinosaurs on the screen.Shout out to all of the staff who made us feel very welcomed, interacting with my daughter. And a special shout out to the gentleman at the gift shop who have her a printed photograph of a cat, she loves that.

Ana Garcia — Google review

Regardless of your political persuasion this is a fascinating return to the days before COVID, 911 and school shootings when it almost seemed like world peace was possible given moderate Soviet leaders. It bypasses the scandals of Clintons indiscretions focusing on the challenges and accomplishments. No one is all good or all bad. This is well worth the visit if you value historical perspectives. Give yourself three hours to walk through the linear progression through the Clinton Whitehouse years.

M Hendershot — Google review

I am comparing this to other newer Presidential museums. The introductory film is a good starter and shows Mr. Clinton’s style. This museum is almost exclusively a very detailed study of the accomplishments and challenges of the Clinton administration. I am a fan, so was impressed with all that was accomplished, but would have liked to know more about his early life, family and challenges he faced. Perhaps more on Hillary’s early life also. If you were interested, you could probably read the displays for days. We enjoyed the state dinner wing with the gifts and other details. The pictures in the displays are very insightful and revealing. The facility is beautiful, and the slightly upper scale restaurant is very good. Volunteer staff was very helpful. Large onsite, free parking.

Dennis Pohle — Google review

The library is awesome, even better than I expected! Gorgeous building and grounds- be sure to plan time to walk the gardens & railroad bridge. Wonderful volunteer staffers- very impressed by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Informative tours- don’t miss the free tours, learned much, hits the highlights for those with limited time. Interesting exhibits- it’s not all reading, great exhibits! Great gift shop- impressed with selection, after we left, I wished I had purchased a few more things. The library was a highlight of our trip!

Very well done. Library is broken down by issue and year. Cool to see the gifts received from foreign leaders during state visits. The restaurant (42) has excellent food at reasonable prices.

Was really nice. Kids really enjoyed. So did we seeing the artifacts gifted, letters written. The bridge nearby and the 35 acres around for kids to run and ay. It's very well maintained. The staff And volunteers are knowledgeable and so kind. They take their time in explaining everything so well.

We went on a Tuesday. It was lovely and fairly less crowded. We really liked the new installation on the 3rd floor that showed more about state visits / dinners and the Chuily display. The gifts from other countries were amazing to see as well. Gorgeous! The staff was amazing and so very friendly. Plan on bringing your walking shoes to also enjoy the park and bridge. And, have lunch at Restaurant 42. The views are also amazing!

I was pleasantly surprised by how interesting I found going to this place. I was traveling with a friend who loves visiting the presidential libraries and we had time to kill so we decided why not. It was an amazing experience that brought back a lot of memories of the 90s to me. Definitely recommend stopping.

Our elementary school took a guided tour field trip and we were able to view the dinosaur exhibit which was really awesome! We enjoyed the presidential memorabilia, history, and art! All of the kids and parents had a wonderful time! Also make time to walk around outside and see the statues, walk over the bridge, hangout by the old train station. Plus you’re right by all the good restaurants downtown, and the Museum of discovery which is great for kids!

We arrived at the Bill Clinton Presidential Library on a Friday around 10:00 a.m. It is a beautiful modern library from the outside. We had to go through a security check. We purchased our tickets. We were not given a commemorative ticket just a sticker. The other 10 presidential libraries we have been to give you a beautiful ticket/souvenir with a picture of the library and the date on it. We were told they only give out the commemorative ticket when it is a special occasion. Also their printer was not working. All the volunteers are very friendly and knowledgeable. We were told to start with the movie were Bill Clinton talks about his childhood and his road to the White House. After the movie it was a little confusing. They want you to start with the Clinton's White House years. We wanted to start with Bill's childhood and work up to the White House years. There are two floors to the library. The map is helpful. The library has a lot of glass windows and glass displays. It was difficult to photograph because of the reflecting light. Also the quotes are in sliver letters. We learned a lot about the Clintons. There is a replica of the President Clinton's oval office. The doorways are roped off. You can only go inside the oval office if you want you picture taken behind the desk. The cost is $14.00-$16.00. That's more than the admission fee for the library. Afterwards we walked around the outside of the library. We also walked on the Clinton Presidential Bridge. You get a different view of the library from the bridge. The library and the walk took about 2 – 3 hours.

Laure Stone — Google review

This is a must see if you are passing through or live in the area. First Presidential Library visit, our young kids had fun and there are a variety of exhibits each touching a different topic. Its a quick 2 hour visit to see everything. Was not busy when we got there. The volunteers were very nice and had great stories but also gave us plenty of space. Made me want to visit more of these.

The Old Mill is a popular tourist destination in Little Rock, Arkansas, that depicts an 1800s-style water mill surrounded by lush landscaping and three acres of sculptures created by renowned artist Senor Dionicio Rodriguez. The park is well-known for its picturesque setting and the Old Mill itself has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Was easy to find. Very beautiful and relaxing. Is an oasis in the middle of a city/metropolitan area. We went the 3rd week of May and everything was green and blooming. We were there around 3:00pm on a Monday and a few people were there but not many. As it got later and school let out more people showed up. As this is right in a neighborhood we saw several people out walking/walking their dogs near the entrance. We spent about an hour and thoroughly enjoyed it. A lovely spot to take your lunch/dinner (or even breakfast-check their hours first-I didn't notice what time open/close is) and enjoy listening to the water running. There was plenty of seating, a picnic table, and public restrooms. Some areas were handicap accessible. We will definitely stop back by when we visit that area again.

Awesome little park. Spent 30 minutes exploring the grounds. Very picturesque and great landscaping. Enjoyed all the little bridges and nooks and crannies. Kids would love it - no pups allowed.

What an absolutely beautiful location with so much to explore in an otherwise quiet residential area. There is a lot packed in this space including the mill building that you can explore, rock bridge where the sunset shows through, multiple waterfalls, a cool sculpture, and a decked building overlooking the entire property. It was rather busy on an unusually warm winter day, but we didn't mind. Was well worth stopping and checking out. We covered everything there in about 45 minutes with two 10 year olds in tow.

Amanda Miller — Google review

I enjoyed walking around. Restrooms were decent . It was super hot today so make sure to bring a hat or sunglasses and have water. We didn't explore too far out since we have toddlers but it's best not to bring a stroller since it's hard to get around in it. Very narrow pathways . Keep your kiddos close . There isn't many safe fences surrounding the water . Very beautiful to visit though. Parking is easy. Along the side of road of The Old Mill.

Pictures and videos do not do The Old Mill justice. It is absolutely breathtaking, like a scene out of a movie! It is perfect for family pictures, a picnic, or just going to sit think/read/journal. It is a must see while in Little Rock!

The Old Mill is so beautiful! If you are looking for a place to take prom photos, senior photos, engagement photos, family photos…. Take all the photos here! The grounds are well maintained, the turtles and ducks swim right up to you. The bridge is super cool and the old mill really is beautiful. There were some other people but not super crowded everyone gave each other their space here.

I can’t express how blissful place is this! We spent a late afternoon there. We absolutely loved it. It was overcrowded when we visited there, so highly recommend visiting this during earlier time of weekdays. The sitting areas and bridges are so awesome and unique. Wish we could spend more time there.

My wife and I visited The Old Mill during a cross country trip from California to South Carolina. What a beautiful spot! The mill is a re-creation of an 1880s water-powered grist mill and is in the opening scenes of the classic film Gone With the Wind. I didn't know either of these facts when we visited it, but found out later on the North Little Rock website. Visitors can walk a lovely garden path down to the mill, then over a rustic bridge that offers a gorgeous view of Lake Number Two. Benches are placed throughout the gardens so that visitors can sit for a while and soak in all the beauty of the place. It truly does look like something out of a fairy tale.

Greg Squyres — Google review

Absolutely gorgeous! It was very easy to find and had easy street parking. This is well worth a visit since it is free and very pretty. There are multiple little bridges to cross and flowers everywhere. Wonderful place to take pictures or just walk around and enjoy the scenery.

The Old Mill is a beautiful garden, very peaceful and relaxing. We even had a picnic at the picnic tables. The property is very well maintained, I love seeing places like this being taken care of. Just Gorgeous!

What a sweet little park. It's right in the middle of a neighborhood. It's a jem.It was very overcast the day we visited, but still a beautiful setting. Some hidden speakers with some soft music playing and a hammock, I would have never left.

James R. Ferguson — Google review

Cute area to visit with beautiful views. It's well taken care of, with lovely flowers everywhere, and we enjoyed walking around in the mill house and the several small bridges. I recommend it and would come back again.

Katyuscka Cook — Google review

A beautiful place straight out of a fairy tale, it is peaceful, colorful and full of animal weddings everywhere. A quiet neighborhood next to the lake, if you want to relax and spend some quiet time admiring beautiful landscapes, this could be your place.

Marcell Pulido — Google review

This is a beautiful historic park in the middle of North Little Rock. Great for photos and we saw a wedding there today. Excellent views and the horticulture is immaculate!

Chris Oz — Google review

Old Mill is our favorite place to feed the ducks, turtles and walk around. It’s also a beautiful place to get married, take bridal portraits, maternity photos, and family pictures. I’ve done all of the above. It’s also very gorgeous when it snows. And in the spring Master Gardeners have beautiful flowers and landscaping!

This place is magical . They have picnic tables, garbage receptacle s , bathrooms and amazing things to look at. I highly recommend it

Nature & Parks

Lakeside natural area with boat rental & launching, campsites, hiking trails, showers & a snack bar.

We spent the 2024 eclipse at the park. The facilities were clean, the water was beautiful and clear. My grandson wnjoyed swimming and playing on the playground. The staff was wonderful and helpful. It truly was a hidden gem. The camping sites looked lovely for both tent and campers there were several trails to hike.

Ellen Lindow — Google review

Beautiful early Spring day.Took the hike all the way around the Lake. I bet it's busy when it's hot!Not much wildlife since the area had a recent prescribed burn. But it'll surely please!Mig loved it too!🐾#EmBARKingwithMig

Woolly hollow state park is a really nice park. There is a trail to walk with benches along the trail. You can fish around the lake and swim at the beach area. Very clean showers and restrooms up the hill not a bad walk to it. There are swings and a snack shop for the folks that do not want to drive into town. There are plenty of tables for families to picnic at and there is also a pavilion you can rent for bigger parties. I will update after my stay there I am going to dry camp for 12 days. They do accept the America the beautiful card for disabled folks I think it is half off the original price.

Paul Williams — Google review

Great place to hike and camp! The huckleberry trail is very pretty. I went when after it rained so the water was rolling good

chloe stafford — Google review

Beautiful park! Well maintained and lots of room to spread out! Showers and bathrooms were immaculate. Had the best morning ever just sitting outside drinking coffee and watching all the beautiful birds!

Jonette Schmidt — Google review

A nice quiet park with camp sites and a small lake. I especially like the Huckleberry Trail. A nice easy trail with wooden foot bridges over the creeks. If you go the day after a rain there is a waterfall to see.

Steve Brady — Google review

Our first trip here. Nice full hookup sites, a few primitive tent spots. Beautiful fall leaves, very peaceful during the week. Husband enjoyed the challenging 9.5miles of mountain biking trails. Clean modern bathrooms. Great 2 day trip.

Doreen Crabtree — Google review

Lake is pretty low right now, but the hiking and bike trails are fantastic, and very popular. Full hook-ups for motor homes and trailers, plus camping sites.

David Cannon — Google review

Very clean and quiet. Went fishing but didn’t catch anything. Great place for kids to play and hiking.

Kim Wilkerson — Google review

We stayed over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We have three young children who enjoyed riding around the park on their bikes, playing at the playground, viewing the cabin and hiking. The camp sites are spacious and well maintained. We will definitely be back.

Stephanie Strunk — Google review

Lovely in early spring or fall. Gets a bit crowded as it warms up especially on the weekend but not bad during the week. Beautiful body of water and lots of trails. Clean restrooms. Great place for dogs on a leash.

Stephen McDermott — Google review

Visited this park on our way to another park. Good looking park. Great place to just relax. Not much to do other than trails, swimming, fishing, but that's a plus for us. The staff at the visitors center was very friendly and helpful. The place seems small, but that was a plus on the appeal side for us. Clean sites and didn't look too pack together. The whole place was very well maintained by the looks of it.Definitely coming back, but not before we get the rest of our passport stamps. 26 more to go....

ron bennett — Google review

Go in Spring you won't be disappointed. The falls are beautiful. Lots of rocks to climb on. The Rangers are so nice and the park is very clean. Lots of picnic tables. If you want to camp I understand you have to make reservations a couple of months in advance

Museum

Landmark state park featuring Arkansas' tallest American Indian mounds, plus a visitors center.

Awesome little park very close to I-40. Stopped in to have a look at the Toltec Mounds. Staff were very friendly and informative. Grounds and facilities were well kept and clean. The boardwalk was closed due to damage, but we were still able to take a walk by the lake.

Aletse Nehciets — Google review

Don't wait like we did. Its fun, free and interesting. OK maybe not breathtaking like some sites but it's educational. Hard to imagine life so long ago. Viewing the 3 larger mounds that remain will mean very little if you skip the cool displays in the welcome center. Easy to walk (although today it was hot!) paved trail, many rest benches and a nice area over water to see cypress tress. Took us about 45 minutes to 1 hour total so time is not really an issue. Friendly staff also!

Vance Henson — Google review

This park offers an indoor museum and outdoor attractions near an oxbow of the Arkansas River. The park details the Toltec Indian burial mounds and offers a lot of information about the natives in the area and early native cultures in Arkansas. The whole thing can be experienced in about an 1.5 hours depending on what walking trail you take and how much time you spend in the museum. There are no fees associated with the park.

Nathan Pierce — Google review

We loved it. It was so beautiful and peace and quiet. Just walking around you'll get lost in your thoughts that's how peaceful it is. We will definitely be back. Good place to get exercise as well. One trail is 3.5 miles and other is 1.5 miles. Also check out the store they have there as well.

Elizabeth Mijangos — Google review

Great display in the visitors center explaining the history of this area. Be sure and follow Knapp Trail to the boardwalk along Mound Lake to see the beautiful cypress trees.

Van Knight — Google review

Plum Bayou Mounds is a truly special place, full of history and natural beauty. The preserved mounds offer a window into the rich Native American culture that once thrived here, and the museum provides a great educational experience with its artifacts and interactive exhibits. The park itself is a peaceful oasis, with scenic hiking trails and serene surroundings. I highly recommend a visit to Plum Bayou Mounds to anyone interested in history and nature, it's a hidden gem that shouldn't be missed.

Chad — Google review

Another SP for the history buffs, if you like American Indian history then check this place out. It doesn't take long to see it all and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Only bad thing on this visit was the weather, cold & windy. Had a hawk fly over the mounds while we were there, kinda added to the aesthetics of the place. (last pic, look close, above mound)

ron bennett — Google review

Interesting, educational and fun for kids. The outdoors trails lead past the mounds, along the bayou on a wooden walk bridge and through the nearby wood line. The marker plaques explain everything as you read along the way. The visitor center is full of interactive displays for children and adults alike.

Pete Bakich — Google review

Nice trail even though the boardwalk was closed where the river is. The shop is cute and the displays were informative. There is a movie too we didn't watch.

Michelle Mcgill — Google review

Wonderful little park that we visit regularly. Lots of history and artifacts on display. Would be great if they’d fix the wooden water’s edge walkway that had a beautiful view. The observation deck has been closed for years. The omission of that portion of trail spoils the route.

R G — Google review

We made it down Toltec Rd 15 minutes before they opened and parked in some tiny drive area. The surrounding land is big fields. The park is very pretty whether on foot or taken in via motorized vehicle (a tram) with an interpreter to walk you through the various sites. The hills are large and the walkway to the water is beautiful with a close-up look at some awesome trees. The museum inside has hands-on exhibits that the kids enjoyed

Jesse N — Google review

This is currently a Free place to visit. Very nice place to stop and view the history of indeginous people from a thousand years ago. Very clean well maintained (road in a little rough) and staff was friendly. Nice visitor center and paved walking trail. We went in a 38 ft motorhome with a tow but had a very tight fit. Parking lot is not set up for campers so investigate before turning in.

Wendy Burk — Google review

Free to the public year round. Great place for a nature walk by the Arkansas River. Clean bathrooms inside the nature center, historical artifacts on display, and snacks and souvenirs for sale.

Polished rooms, plus a casino, a spa, a pool, 4 restaurants & a stage with live entertainment.

Remember to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ when booking a resort. This web site will compare hundreds of hotel sites and normally will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is one of the best in this area. I've been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few nights you definitely will love it I'm sure!Very helpful and kind staff! I went during the early week, rarely are there too many smoke smells. Everyone are nice and attentive. Buffet is great! My favorite machine did move but we were able to find it. :)

SUMON SIKDER — Google review

Nice casino. It was packed. Standing room only. I received a player's card and got $25 dollars at the kiosk. Paid $40 for the buffet. It looked good but most things were cold. Who wants to pay $40 for a meal and it is cold. Hospitality was OK. I did not understand most of the machines.and love st that $25 in a flash, playing a 1 cent machine. Not a pleasant experience.

Dorothy Locke — Google review

Let's start off with service a place like this should have great service but they fell at that The new owners are definitely not training everybody how they're supposed to treat their customers as well as the rewards program The new owners have a reward system That's pretty bad to say the least. Also I gamble in many places this place has bad vibesThe first time I went and decided to go a second time I should have just stopped at the first time. Would I recommend this place absolutely not till they change their vibes at least better customer service. I would definitely return if they improve customer service. Definitely had a bad experience both times!

We live in Texas. My newlywed husband brought me to Gold Strike for my birthday. I had not been there in about 10 years. It was wonderful!! I would love to know what kind of mattress was on our bed. He has back issues and has much difficulty getting comfortable. We were both very comfortable. I would very much appreciate it if a manager would let me know what kind of mattress that was (23rd floor). My only disappointment was that the breakfast buffet is not available during the weekdays. I have very fond memories of cheese-stuffed crepes with strawberry sauce.

Brenda Estes — Google review

Fun place, great food and entertainment!Chicago Steakhouse is number #1 on my list for steak and impeccable service. It may be a little higher priced, but if you want perfectly cooked food and to be treated like royalty splurge a little and tell Chef Jeremy I sent you! Oh and the buffet is hard to beat if you have a giant appetite!!

Jerry Malone — Google review

This is our half way stopping point for our trips to see family. Casino is clean and a good place to visit. Great games and free play for members. Food. games, rooms, all good. The bad - location is rather secluded and not what it was years ago. Closed and abandoned casinos scattered in the area. Local businesses seem to never have recovered. Still the experience is overall good at the Gold Strike Casino.

Barney H — Google review

Yeah.....just not it. The room was fine, just. But as a player passing through, the tables just don't care that you're there. No restaurant on the premises, had to go across the street. Glad I did, because the horseshoe had much better games and instantly took good care of me. Won't be back.

Beau — Google review

The beds were very comfy, the room could have been a bit cleaner in the bathroom, and the wall had a hole in it where someone must have pushed the door open too hard. The folks at the front desk were very nice, and the casino was fun. Food was decent in the sports bar, but they really need to provide fresh coffee at the buffet and not Folgers in a big tank that was luke warm at best.

Laureen Horton — Google review

Had an enjoyable quick overnight stay-room was nice and quiet and well appointed. We had dinner at the Chicago Steakhouse which was perfect 👍🏼 All staff were super friendly and professional. We even took sone time to try our luck ( not so lucky :-( ) in the casino. We grabbed a quick breakfast at Sweet Tea on our way out- no complaints!!

Sherri gold — Google review

As much as I go to the casino this was the first time I reserved a room. I don't live that far, but I knew I didn't want to drive back home since the roads were kind of bad. This exceeded my expectations I was pleasantly surprised. With this being a casino I thought the rooms would be mediocre, but it wasn't. Money well spent it was very clean bathroom and all. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and everything was nice and neat in my room. I see myself staying again in the near future.

GMOM#1 — Google review

I only went to the casino part on this visit. I got carded immediately lol, so if you don't look your age..get ready for that! It's a pretty building with golden lights. Calm atmosphere...more of an older crowd. They're just there to enjoy themselves and I can get with that. And it doesn't just smell like straight up smoke 😭 Nice!

Deandria Isom — Google review

We stayed next door at the Horseshoe and gambled at both. The Gold Strike was a fantastic resort. Right when you walked in it smelled great. Super clean and really large. Lots of games! The one issue was it was hard to get a drink on Friday and Saturday nights. Not the servers fault at all but still annoying. Will be back for sure!

Scott Barbeau — Google review

I visited here over the weekend and it was great!. They had a band playing and a really great atmosphere. The slots were hitting and the card tables were decent as well. A very nice get away.

Ci B — Google review

Great atmosphere, there was a band both nights, w/ a DJ in between sets keeping the crowd jumping. Been awhile since I've put down hard liquor that fast... Yep, over estimated my ability. Not a problem. Had two stunning and kind co*cktail servers take care of me. One All night long, damn near proposed. Not yet, still a great place to unwind.

joel bramlett — Google review

Called and paid for 2 nights for a room over phone. Once I received my reservation via Email. I realized it was only one night.I called back and she assured me it was for 2 nights. She told me that she would be working when I arrived and she would correct it. I drove the 5 hour trip and once I arrived the host said it couldn't be changed. There was no attempt to follow thru with what the employee had promised me over the phone. They then charged me an extra 50 dollars for the room, and said that was a room deposit and I would get my deposit back once I left. The room was nice and clean. I slept in my bed for a total of 4 hours that night, didn't use shower, didn't turn on television, and barely made a wrinkle in the bed sheets. After looking at my credit card statement I was NOT give all my room deposit back... WHY??.Why would GS employees lie to their customer .. Why would I not get my deposit back?. These are questions I called GS and tried to get answered . I got put on hold twice, and hung up on 3 times..My final thought is BEWARE.... They are not honest with what they tell you. Not the same as it has been in the past years. .

TIM STROTHER — Google review

We had a great time at Gold Strike Casino. Great atmosphere, amazing staff. We did not stay at the hotel but will in the future. The only thing that would have made our trip better would have been a jackpot lol. We will be back.

Will Sterling — Google review

My husband and I booked for one night. After we got there we were so happy it wasn't longer. The front desk staff was not welcoming. The room was clean but out vent fan in the bathroom did not work. The air conditioner did not work well. I had to fix our broken towel rack so it would hold out towel. The ice machine didn't work on our floor or on several other floors. None of the soda machines between floor 17 and 32 worked. Several of the floors had water damage and smelled. We went to dinner at Buffet Americana. Half of the buffet was shut down. The selection was not that great and the desserts tasted like they were weeks old. When we tried to go to the same buffet for breakfast the next morning we were advised that they were not opening for brunch. It was impossible to get a drink while we were gambling. We went to the Horseshoe to gamble and loved it. The staff was friendly. Easy to get a drink. We won't stay at the Gold Strike ever again. And we won't recommend it to anyone either.

Randy&Brandy Jones — Google review

Horrible beyond horrible this customer service is deplorable!!! From the moment we checked in! We hoped that maybe it would get better but NO!! Nice place but the people that work here know NOTHING about hospitality. Unfortunate but true. If you’re from out of town and looking to have an enjoyable time don’t expect it here! After a 7 hour drive looking forward to all the hype of “Tunica” we are going to now forfeit our second night just to leave this place. The other casinos around are SO MUCH better and friendlier!!! Thanks for absolutely NOTHING “Gold Strike”

Tamara Meyer — Google review

We have been going to the Gold Strike since 1998. It is starting to show it’s age. The beds are uncomfortable and the hotel rooms need updating. Many of the staff are just plain rude now! It’s obvious they don’t care if you are there or not, but they sure do expect a tip for everything they do. The restaurant choices are very slim. For a casino of this size I would expect more food options.

Sherry Hollis — Google review

Nicer of the casinos in the area. Hotel room AC not very cold and rooms need updates. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Food quality needs to be better in all restaurants. Very average at best. Nice staff that wanted to help.

Ryon York — Google review

The last time we were at this casino was 8 years ago. I know COVID had a substantial impact on the Casino industry in Tunica. A lot of casinos have gone. We have good memories of times past, now, it's not the same.We requested a non-smoking room at check in. When we got to the room, there was a foul stench of cigarette smoke. It was disgusting to say the least. No microwaves in the rooms any longer. .Only one Gold Strike laundry bag,The bottled water tasted terrible. There were no channel guides for the TV.The pool and whirlpool were closed. (That is understandable because of COVID)The level for customer service took a downhill plunge in 8 years for certain. We will NOT be back.

Dave Netherton — Google review

If you order from sweet Tea and you get a electronic puck. Don't leave the restaurant or you w never be notified your meal is ready. No one tells you this.Toilet and shower backed up in one of our rooms and our rooms were charged individually instead of our corporate card.

Room was nicer than I expected and a decent price. I had noisy neighbors that made lots of noise at 345am. That sucked but the view frol the 27th floor was nice. Room was comfy.

Kri (Klmbean) — Google review

I’m probably a little harsh but I wanted to share. It’s been a few years since I’ve been here and it shows. The first room I entered had no working deadbolt so I immediately went down to the front desk and requested a room change. The room was nice enough but the mattress had lots of mileage on it. Uncomfortable. The bathroom was clean but there seemed to be spots on the shower tile. Mold maybe? Not sure. Toilet and sink were in good shape. Overall the room was very clean. Needed a new coffee maker and blow dryer both were broken. Not quite Vegas.

Rebecca Gillikin — Google review

Horrible service. None of the employees was nice. Got a room and it was filthy like someone else trash was in the trash can, floors couldn’t walk on barefoot in your own room, refrigerator filthy. Switched rooms and it wasn’t much better. I paid over $200 for a room! For my deposit I was told 3-5 business days. Sign says 24hrs… called and now they said 3-14 business day!!!! I don’t recommend this place at all!!!!! I’d leave a no star if I could because they don’t deserve even 1!

heather braden — Google review

Tunica is in a sad state. Needless to say, I don't EVER have to visit Goldstrike or, for that matter, Tunica, MS again. Tunica casinos were booming years ago. It was my favorite spot - like a little Vegas. It had been several years since my last visit and boy has it gone down.Slot machines were pretty loose. No jackpot, but I did fairly well. Best believe, whatever they give you on the slots, they recoup at the tables, the Mississippi Stud tables anyway. That's all I play, and each of the tables I sat at was brutal.

Joyce Dulaney — Google review

We only went for the buffet. The resort was nicer than some of the other casinos in that area. The food on the giant buffet was pretty damn good actually-and I'm not a buffet person.

Lacey Inman — Google review

We had the buffet. The prime rib was over cooked. The fish was dry as sand. The sweet potato casserole was bland and like all the sugar was drained out of it. The fried rice wasn't good either. Probably the worst buffet I've been to in a very long time. Do not recommend eating here. Go somewhere else.

Dwayne Richardson — Google review

Don’t know they tell you that your 50 dollars will be refunded when you check out it’s been nearly 2 weeks and still no refund. All I’m saying is be up front honest with people tell them it takes 2 weeks to finalize the bill and then you get your 50 dollars back. Cause I was literally told that as soon as I check out it will be refunded v back into my account. And it’s still pending and it’s been 2 weeks. When I paid for the room I don’t have the chose the money comes straight out of my account. But you get to wait before you refund me. Not to mention how rude the staff is when I called about it. I don’t figure this will be read or anything done about it. I probably won’t even get my money back. Maybe it will help someone make there decision before staying there.I did send a email 3 days ago and nobody ever responded back. Here is another update now I’m being told it will be 30 days before I get my money back. They tell me to send an email I did and no body replies back to me. This is so ridiculous they won’t me to just forget about it and I’m not. Can someone please help me with this

The room could have been cleaner. It was dusty like no one had been in it in months. Other than that, Gold Strike has always been a main attraction. Especially during holidays.

The Horseshoe Tunica hotel is situated in a vibrant casino resort that features five restaurants, an outdoor pool, and a gym. The hotel rooms are casual and comfortable for guests to relax in. Visitors can enjoy their day exploring the city of Memphis by visiting St. Mary's Catholic Church, Ducks Unlimited Waterfowling Heritage Center, National Civil Rights Museum - Lorraine Motel or trying their luck at the Horseshoe Casino.

Really had no complaints when I went. The steak restaurant was excellent along with the service. They made my friend feel very special for her birthday. The restaurants are pricey as I had expected but you can get little appetizers and small plates. Horseshoe is the biggest casino in Tunica if that’s what you want. Lots of people winning. Great love music on Friday night. Drinks good. Every worker we had encounters with was very pleasant & welcoming. I would go back!

Nice, friendly staff. Table dealers are great at helping you learn new games if your go-to game table is full. Beautiful decor making you feel like you're in a nice atmosphere. I've been to this location a few times & win or lose, I always leave happy from a good time! My only negative is the buffet was changed to a different restaurant & it was absolutely horrible service & the food was not even sub par. I don't mind paying good money for good food but it's a little upsetting to pay good money for bad food plus horrible service. We didn't let it ruin our trip, though. We just ate somewhere else the next meal

Bethany Renea — Google review

My stay was good, because I enjoyed the room, and would have enjoyed the casino, but it was too much cigarette smoke 🚬 for me as a nonsmoker. I had a complimentary flight and hotel over, which was nice until the process of returning home. The hotel escort an airplane fully loaded with people of different age groups to the airport much too early which was very unprofessional and we had no seating area at the airport to sit during this wait. There weren't any airport attendants to check us in, until an hour later. Now of course, at this, we all were feeling like we were treated with no respect, mainly after we have spent our money with Horseshoe Casino.

Appropriately rated as a 2 star hotel. Can tell it was nice at one point in the past. Main issue was cleanliness. Hallway very dirty. Dirt in the bathroom corners. Room wasn’t ready at 4:30 despite booking it several days in advance. Beds were comfortable. Would have had a free room but no available pet-friendly free rooms available.

Debbie Huff — Google review

Me and my husband visited for one night for a "parent's night out". Everyone was super nice upon arrival! We weren't in our room long before realizing our TV didn't work, but we let them know and they moved us to a new room right away! The cleanliness could have been better, but overall nothing huge to gripe about. I had read a lot of reviews beforehand about the slots being tight, etc but that wasn't the case for us. Played a little black jack and our first dealer Donald was AMAZING! He was very patient with me as I was learning and it truly gave you an EXPERIENCE as soon as you sat down. Then, he was replaced with Ray who was EXTREMELY rude as soon as he sat down. We started with a full table with strangers we were having so much fun with, but Ray quickly changed the entire atmosphere and it wasn't long before we all got up. That man has no business working in the hospitality industry. Overall, it was a good experience and we definitely will return!

We didn’t stay here but went to the casino to gamble with my son who just turned 21. 1st time loyalty card users get $10 in rewards play so that was nice. I personally had some good luck at the slots so I have a great opinion of the place hahaha! Good range of machines, table play and high limit areas. My husband played blackjack for a little while and liked it too. Starbucks in there was a nice touch!

Made some great memories here. It's just an awesome place we arrived and left the next day and not empty handed. But that restaurant the one they have that famous cook their do not go I ate and got sick really bad really bad. I had to go get medicine like really bad. But all the rest is just perfect a perfect casino to have fun and make extra money. Good luck make this casino your next stop!!!

Went to the counter to check in and got no "welcome to.horseshoe, what can I do for you"? But instead all she said was "photo I'd please?"And with zero personality, proceeded to check us in. The room was like a mile walk from the elevators which was insane. The halls are dark and dingy. They refused to let me take my own bags and insisted on having a bell hop person do it so I had to wait around for him to come take my bags that I was capable of carrying and it was clear that this was all a ruse to get tips.My room was so dark I could hardly see and that's after turning on all the lights. We had nothing but rooftops to look at out the window... it may have well been not there... useless window when the only thing you see is dirty roofs with ladders and equipment mess everywhere. Being here during the week... there was no where to get food and the snack store downstairs is WAAAY over priced. Way to take advantage of your guests. The room clearly hadn't been dusted in a long time.... it was gross. The bed had hairs on it.The water in the bathroom came out of the sink in a literal trickle.... so crazy. We were supposed to be here 2 nights for my birthday but I only stayed 1 and decided to go somewhere else. I came to gamble and have fun but decided not to give a dime to the casino. The place was gross and the staff was lacking and give a damn. I can't give my money to a place like that.

The room was actually pretty decent and was inexpensive. The casino and hotel reminded me of the Rio in Vegas when Caesars gave up on it. The place was dirty and a lot of things were broken. The floors were dirty, carpet held together by duct tape, urinals covered with a garbage bag, elevator card reader and lights not working, and plenty more issues. It just didn't have a good feel to it, which is a shame. The place could be attractive with just a little effort. We didn't even spend the night. We drove our four hours back home instead. We will likely never return.

Visited this past September. Nice place. Fitness center was in a state of disarray. Broken ceiling fans. Lights not working. Pieces of ceiling tile on the floor. There was a floor fan but the motor seized after turning it on. Maybe in the middle of a renovation? Seemed like it had some potential. I'll be back again. Hopefully the gym is in better shape then.

The rooms are absolutely gorgeous. However, the hotel rooms did not have a microwave. I was like you mean to tell me that the room has a fridge, 3 TVs, c- shape sofa, nice chair, and more, But no microwave. It's almost like you are being forced to eat the Not So Tasty food. I ended up eating my cold shrimp pasta I brought with me prior to checking in. The customer service was super awesome.

Loved this casino. Everyone were very nice to us. They have truck parking near entrance very convenient and great because there’s an ice storm so we did not walk too far. Poker room is not big but it’s cozy. Dealers were all very nice especially John he was my favorite he gave us awesome hands. Free drinks but tips are welcome. I also played slots won double. Played roulette and lost lol can win everything. Had a burger at the sports grill which was fire. Fries were good too, service was also good. In all great experience. Today we might stay the night and play again. I am going to say the service here is way better than the Golden casino. No harassment here. Winnings in pics are my husbands.

We loved the pictures of the hotel on their site, however when we arrived, it wasn’t like the pictures. The pool was empty and closed. There was no coffee pot in the room. There was a sign in the room saying that if we took anything we would be charged and the prices of each hotel item was listed. It’s been at least 20 years since we stayed at a hotel with no coffee in the room and we don’t steal from the hotels we stay in, and we travel a lot.

Definitely in need of remodeling. Smells old and moldy. Stayed room w/king size bed. Had old wing back chair that was stained and extremely uncomfortable to sit in.Bathroom had built up dust on hairdryer, base boards & exhaust fan. Only plus in room was having a lockable safe, small refrigerator, iron & ironing board. There are fees for extra towels, toilet paper, etc. Housekeeping only if you call.Casino was so smoky that I wore a mask. Slot machines extremely tight, no money won. Had a waitress drop a half empty glass with a mix drink in it that hit the floor right beside me as I set at slot machine that splashed my new white shirt that stained front, back & left sleeve. All she brought me was a wet wad of paper towels to clean with. Definitely will NEVER go back to Tunica.

The rooms need renovating and cleaning. Shower curtain was hanging loosely by one.screw. Wall covering redone in patches and was loose and curling up. Carpet frayed with 3 and 4 in strings. Carpet needs vacuuming throughout hotel. Never saw a vacuum. The toilet and sink did not appear to have been cleaned in some time. And we had to pay for this. Bartenders were zombies. No personality or friendliness....and never at the bar. Room 2145....check it out.

This casino is an absolute gem! From the lively atmosphere to the friendly staff, every visit feels like a winning one!The gaming options are diverse, catering to all preferences, and the excitement is contagious. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, creating a warm and inviting vibe.Don’t forget to grab a players card and visit 8oz Burger in the back of the casino.

Beware putting your card on file for incidentals. After attending a work conference and being told they would hold my card for $40 incidental (regular $199), for 3 days they charged and deducted from my card several times. By the time I checked out of the hotel $400 had come out of my account for “ incidentals”. With no real answers, shoulder shrugs and you’ll have your money back in 3-5 business days. Needless to say I won’t return to the hotel. The room was very nice, staff food service throughout the conference was amazing!

Just the closest Vegas like casino to Memphis. Clean with good interactions with the employees. The line for players card is long but moved fast and the self service machines were out of order. Everything works, hotel rooms are spotless casino is clean. Nice bars. Great fun!

I come here to play poker. This casino has an amazing poker room with great service and dealers. Free drinks while playing and plenty of tables. One of my favorite places to play. I have stayed here and the room are nice. Great view of the river and the land around the casino which is pretty much just land. Where this casino is located there is not much else around besides a few fast food places and gas stations.

The service was impeccable! I really wish the other casinos would allow you to order your drinks at the machine you're playing on. That was definitely a bonus, and the servers were awesome! The bathrooms were so clean.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. We were told that the pool was open and upon arrival we discovered that it was closed. We were told that it had been closed since Sunday for repairs but since reading over some of the reviews it seems like it has been closed for much longer. We were told that Tunica was the closest thing to Las Vegas. Definitely not. The area had 2 hotels/casinos there and besides that there was almost nothing around at all. Just small gas stations. Food was ridiculously expensive for just being mediocre. We had to get 5 new sets of keys to our room because the keys kept deactivating. Something they don’t tell you when they hand you the keys is that they will deactivate if you hold them near your phone. The whole place reeks of cigarettes and weed. You will be charged for everything if you stay here. I know that I will never be staying here again. The location is horrible. Nothing in our room was properly cleaned and there was mold growing on the walls of the bathroom. All of the staff seemed completely miserable and were very rude. The walls are very thin as well and you can basically hear everything going on in the hallways.

We went to eat at Guy Fieri’s new restaurant and it was amazing! I got the BBQ brown sugar wings and my boyfriend had the chicken sandwich with mac&cheese on top (can’t remember the name) and they were absolutely delicious. The food prices aren’t awful but the drink prices are pretty steep. Overall it was an amazing experience and we will definitely be back soon!

Overall I liked the experience. Some of the co*cktail waitresses were rude but some were nice. The dealers seemed to have good attitudes. I liked that they served drinks in a timely fashion and they were in glasses. During the day on Saturday the drinks were good but later on they were all too sour in the evening. We ate at Guy Fieri’s and the place was so nice! Our bartender was the nicest person we met in Tunica. Most of the employees either hate their lives, their jobs or people in general. The food at Guys was flavorless and not even hot-warm at best and fries were not fresh, which shocked me. He needs to get on Google maps so we can review the restaurant and he can make some changes. Not sure what you can do when 90% of the people that live and work in that town are so uncaring and rude. But I liked this casino better than Gold strike and will be back for the experience, regardless of the bad apples

Casino is good except for all the smoking. Should have non smoking rooms or areas to play. The hotel is outdated, the furniture is old and worn, the toilet handle was broke and toilet ran unless you did the jiggle. Overall not impressed. Staffing issues are apparent as well.

I went to the spa for a facial and a hand rejuvenation. Reese was absolutely fantastic! I would come back here just to see her! She's very professional and knowledgeable of all the services offered. Plus, She's so nice and easy to talk to making the entire experience fantastic. Thank you Reese!

Current building only a shadow of what the casino hotel was like a decade ago. Had to pay for upgrade but room did not appear significantly better than original room with maybe the space for couch. Phone did not work so could not call for additional towels (or help). Room for four only came with two towels. Expect walls with scuffs, panels in disrepair, and unpolished features that come from years of lack of care or updates. Beds were comfortable. Casino was quiet with limited dining options. No more buffet. Burger bar did not accept dining credit. Price of meal appeared to be $20 per person in other venues on site, except steak house. Slots seemed dated and quiet. Table games were ok. Nothing like Caesar’s properties in Vegas.

This exceeded my expectations! The rooms were nicer than I expected. The lobby, casino, and public areas were nicely done and very clean. All the employees I met were friendly and helpful. The restaurants all looked updated and new. The food at the steak house was the star of the trip!

Reading reviews on the way I was getting worried. Haven't been here in about a year, but always stop when traveling through. Don't know where some of you are staying. Hotel is not bad. I've stayed in nicer hotels, and I've stayed in way worse hotels right here in Tunica. Every person who works here that I came into contact with was pleasant, smiled, and asked how I was doing. Very friendly. tipped one dealer just because she made it so fun. Room was clean. Was not dark like some said and had plenty of outlets. I won a little, lost a little, ended up down but had a great time. Will definately be back. Thanks Horseshoe staff!

Rooms are dated. The cabinet felt like it was a shock hazard with hanging wires. On a positive note the bed was comfortable and the AC room temperature was cold which I like. The room smelled strongly of weed even though it was supposed to be non-smoking.The casino was actually really good. Luckily didn't cost much money because of comp credits.

Great place! Had a lot of fun. The people there are decent, but if you're in a wheelchair and you need a handicap room, they only have one bed. They could easily put two twin beds in there, but they choose not to because they look at it's differently. I'm not going to give anything less than five stars because the people there in the service was great. I just find it incredibly offensive that you can't put some twin beds and a handicap room it's 2024 time to wake up also in the casinos the carpet is very thick so if you're in a manual chair it's really hard to get around

The room was a disaster! The restroom was dirty tub and toilet. There were so many hairs and ashes on the furniture and the blanket and two of the pillows had black spots. Oddly the young lady that checked me in, strangely asked if I was sure I wanted the room I had, but I should have looked in it after I checked in, but unfortunate for me I went to have dinner. This was a total waste, and I hate I spent my money on this stay😡

Everybody there was so nice, from the front desk, the cleaning staff, wait staff and all the people in the Casino. The room was wonderful. Clean, Comfy, luxurious. My husband has a bad back and is very picky when it comes to beds. He said this was one of the most comfortable he has slept in. We can't wait to go back.

Only 3 stars because all the have left are a few rooms and small gift shop. The staff was wonderful and so welcoming. Hotel was clean. Definitely enjoyed staying there. My room was more than I expected. It could use updating but since it was bought out by Cesar's I guess we will see. Half hotel is shut down no casino or food. But the rest was great. I would stay again if open when I return. Food and casino is quick walk across parking lot along with plenty of food options.

Stayed on 2/13. Check in staff was quite rude and not helpful. The Valet was friendly and very helpful. The Casino is closed and all the amenities are next door at the Horseshoe. The room was very nice, comfortable bed and very clean. The hallway smelled like it had just been cleaned and was perfumed enough to be offensive. They still charge the resort fee but we were not informed about it at check-in even though they have no amenities except next door. Overall, Tunica is a hole and the roadhouse was greatly disappointing. I should have stayed at the Horseshoe or skipped Tunica all together. I saw absolutely no reason to go back.

Loved, loved, loved, loved, loved this place. The decor was awesome and when they say free drinks they mean it! There is a button to push on the gambling machines that will bring up a menu of drinks for you to choose from and just a couple minutes later someone will appear with a drink in hand delivered right to you! It was awesome! Had a blast here. Was staying at a different casino but ended up walking to this one every night.

We've stayed with this group the last 4 years and they never disappoint. The staff is extremely pleasant. The hotel is older but not run down. Everyone is eager to please and made us feel important.High five to Larry the Valet, he always greets us like he has known us forever and so eager to please.Casino even let's you win! Although I seem to donate it all back before we left.Great experience! Would highly recommend this establishment!

The rooms are outstanding and the service was just as great, we were greeted and offered help having our bags brought to our room, when we offered a tip the attendant was already gone! He was very polite and quick. The gift shop is well stocked with a variety of essentials and souvenirs, parking is easily located and the wait staff were very prompt and helpful!
